Fall Festival

Today was the Fall Festival at Jackson Creek Christian Academy. OMGOSH it was soooooo much fun! It was bigger I think than last year. I know their were more people there. I could NOT keep up with Bella. AT ALL. John tried. Mama tried. Thank GOD it is a small place. We know most everyone. David and Diane our neighbors came so they helped us out too keep locating her. I have come to a lot of Realizations too. Things I have never noticed. Or maybe I am just getting old. (SHUT UP WINDALE. I know he is going I BEEN TELLING YOU THAT!!! yeah yeah yeah.) but man everything is SO LOUD. (maybe its this medication.) but OMGOSH. Loud is like louder than it used to be! and makes me cranky. haha.
and ANOTHER THING, when your in a wheelchair you are at BUTT LEVEL. THIS IS NOT pleasant. now if we were say in east Texas lookin at alot of hot guys in wranglers... nother story. anyway what was I talking about?
OH yeah. SO anyway. People don't pay attention. They walk right in front of you. trippin over you, back into you, its not like i can just step out of the way! MAN people are rude!
I would be trying to take photos of Bella playing a game, walk RIGHT IN front of me so I have sooooooo many pictures that look like this:

That was my chief complaint. Drove me nuts. I was trying to watch the karate demonstration. I was on the side of the little booth where the country store was (in the shade so I wouldn't die from heat stroke.. every time I would move, this chick would move right in front of me. I would have to unlock the wheels move the chair up then back and forth and over, then.. she moves again back over. so I unlock my wheels move back.. SHE MOVES AGAIN. I finally say screw it. so frustrating. Ya know.. I used to be the SAME WAY I never thought about it till now though and I know they don't either. its actually pretty funny. No one notices these things until it is them. You also don't realize how unwheelchair friendly places are either. but, That is a whole nuther post.

THis was the dude catchin the bids at the auction OMGOSH it was sooooo funny. He was keepin um goin buddy. We had people bidding that didnt know they were bidding. These people that were talking they talk with their hands. THey dont know it but they bid twice on a basket and helped up it a substantial amount hahahaha!

He was really good with that auction. IT was soooo much fun! The ALABAMA (Bama roll tide) Basket SOLD FOR 295.00 The Auburn Basket sold for right at 100.00 They also auctioned off some day passes to disney for 400.00!


Barbie the pony was there again. Again Bella wouldnt ride her. She was all pumped and wanted to ride and then when she got back there chickened out. I dunno what it is about this pony that she wont ride her. She rode the other horse before. I just do not understand it.

I believe the school raised a nice sum of money, everyone had fun and fall has DEFINITELY been celebrated. Bella had a great time, SHe came home with a TON OF STUFF! (so did mama haha) John decided he would just make us a cake he gave up on tryin to win one in the cake walk hahahaha!

ITS FRIDAY! There are several things Im happy about. Happy its friday of course. Fall festival is this weekend but also THIS:

LOST! I LOVE that show! So they are continuing it for 2009! YAY! HEY little things ok! I have been so nauseated lately with this medication so it doesn't take too much to ammuse me. I did get a couple things made for the AUBURN basket to auction at the Fall festival.
It is a check book holder, 2 little notebooks, and a book marker if your wondering. That is what you do when You are broke and can't go out and buy anything with the team logo on it but want to contribute! I had some Auburn scrapbook paper so it worked out. I wanted to make a Christmas ornament but couldn't find the clear glass ornaments I have. I have no clue what I did with them. THey will turn up probably about what... JULY? Oh well. My mom is coming she is bringing some of the jewelry she makes. She just had a craft fair and has some left over so she is donating it to the country store at Bella's school to sale. Proceeds all go to the school. How much does that rock? YAY MA!
Bella is so looking forward to her coming down this weekend. I am on this medication that makes my nerves so wacked out I hope it goes well. I might need a drink or seven before its over. Too bad I can't do that on this medication huh? oh well

John has taken Rolio helenwheelz to get lowered. We took it to the little fall festival at St Elmo Baptist church and realized it needed to be lowerd, IT was causing me to get leg cramps. so. HE is doing that today so Maybe tomorrow wont be so bad. I hope tomorrow is a pretty day. Tomorrow is a bigg fall festival and much lowder so I dunno how well I am gonna do at it. I will have to see. Praying I can do it. Bella so wants me to go and I want to be there.
so saying prayers crossing fingers and all that stuff. I have a box of brownies we are going to make to fix for the cake walk. (everyone makes something to donate for the cake walk give aways)

More kit yummies

I did another page last night attributing to the friendship Bella and Eva Caroline share. They have been Bff since we moved here wow almost 4 years ago now! Gosh it doesnt seem that long ago. But Nov the 7th it will be. Hard to believe how fast time goes by. They were both such tiny things when we moved here. Both of them being only children and living across the street from one another, was a blessing. They are so cute, they stand in the yard yelling and waving to each other can they come play and scheeming (how do you spell that word?) how they can get their parents to let the other one come over. SO FUNNY. I hope they stay friends forever.

We have another fall festival this weekend and I AM SOOOOO looking forward to it. I am praying I get to go.
It is the one at Bella's school. IT was sooooo much fun last year. Bella LOVED IT! We all did!
I have several more projects to get done and today is my "feelin' better than usual" day since I didnt have a shot last night. so Im going to try to get some stuff done. The Topamax is still making my eyes roll around in my head though. (according to a good friend of mine that takes it, this is normal for the first few weeks... just makes no sense to me)Good news is though it will go away thank goodness!!!

Scrappin my kit!

This months kit from scrapbook Obsessions has the Basic grey Ambrosia in it and all I can say is HAVEEEEEEEEEE MERRRRRRRRRRRCY! I am so lovin' all this OOOOORRRRAAANNNGGGE! SO GORGEOUS.
I have to say though, I have been slow scrapping it. I had a Dr visit (Neurologist) on friday and well,
I got a new script called TOPAMAX that has turned me into a drooler.
30 minutes after I took the first one my IQ dropped severely. I think my eyes are rolling around in my head non stop now. I can't remember crapp anymore. WORSE than before I took it and I was pretty bad to start with... I can stare at stuff all day long and not think of what you call it to save me. I still cannot think of that guys name from the movie that said "groovyyy babbeeey" and I know it as well as I know my own name. IT is NOEL Mignion's FAVORITE movie. (see I CAN REMEMBER THAT but what the &^%$ is the name of it!?) I have no clue. GRRRRR I hate this stuff! Making me crazy! I am hoping these side effects will go away soon. I am not hearing good things from others though. anyway....
Scrapping this page I kept looking at this paper and almost falling off my scrap chair from getting dizzy. Ya pretty pathetic huh? John told me he was getting me a seat belt for my scrap chair. Hopefully that will subside after I get used to it.
One of the side effects is weight loss (FINALLY! THANK YOU LORD! THEY FINALLY, PRAISE JESUS!! GIVE ME A MEDICATION, THAT DOESNT MAKE YOU PACK ON THE LBS LIKE A BUFFALO!) but you watch.. I will be the less than .0000000001% that will gain weight or at least not loose weight on it you just watch. WHY? cuz that is just how I roll.
although I have had some good luck lately, at other things... who knows maybe juuuuusst maybe...oh well.

I couldnt wait to scrap these fall festival photos so I figured since I had this lovely kit from Scrapbook Obsessions I might as well get to it. SO here ya go...

Fall Festival

We went to the Fall Festival today at St. Elmo Baptist Church. SO much fun! Bella LOVED IT. It was a GGGGGORGEOUS day!
We took Eva Caroline (from across the street) Bellas BFF with us. THey were so cute!

We are plum tuckered out. It was good to get out though and see Bella have such a good time though. Also to see friends I haven't seen in a while. We also got to see Halloween exploded. The house across the street had gone ALLLL OUT with the halloween decorating. Check this out. Grizwalds dont have NUTTIN on these folks!







Of Course Bella thought it was the coolest thing ever and wants us to do our yard and house the same way... Im thinking NO! YOU dont get the full effect because the blow up things were inflated... but man.. I have never seen so many halloween decorations in one place in my life. We MUST go back Christmas and see what they do for that!!!

Monday ... is a good day.

I have an article published in Scrapbooking.com's magazine on how to alter a pumpkin. It is a fun little project to do with kids as young as 2!! Check it out and show me your punkins :)

I hope to get to go to the pumpkin patch this week with Bella bug and take some photos. They have a big stand set up at the church so cute! The 30th we will be going to the BIG corn maze and pumpkin patch with her class at school. I know she is going to have lots of fun. I can't wait I hope I am able to go!
The weekend before that is the Fall Festival. Everyone is gearing up and getting ready. Bella's class is in charge of the Fishing booth and for the Auburn and ALabama gift baskets to auction. I am going to make some thing to go in them. I dont have any Bama stuff but I DO Have some Auburn papers I can use for altering.
I might make a notebook and some cards or something to go in there.

I scrapped again last night. I scrapped the photo of Bella I took yesterday.



I love these photos. WHY IS IT anytime I take photos of her THAT TONGUE has to be sticking out! In every photo shoot I have at least one of her sticking out her tongue and monkey shining... she is soooo my kid!!!!

I put some Doodlebug Sugar crystals on these letters to make them BLING out.


I added red bling dots to the flower also, and added pop foam dots behind them to lift it up for dimension.

I actually feel pretty decent today. YEAH I KNOW. I was shocked too. I was scared I was dead when I woke up and I wasn't nauseaus and hurting! So it is getting easier finally. They told me around October November I should start getting used to the medication and it get easier. NOW to just get rid of the blame shingles... that is another story. I think they are about gone but scared to say it in fear they will come back worse! I don't take a shot on Sunday nights so I get like a day off. SO ussually I don't feel AS crummy on Mondays. Hard to imagine getting used to this but Oh well We adapt! It could BE SOOOO MUCH WORSE!

I was getting some things ready to mail and forgot that it was Columbus day and the mail doesn't run today. Some kids are out of school today but we are in (I think because we missed some during Hurricane Gustav)

Well I need to get up and go clean something while I feel decent. Take advantage of Feeling better haha. I really really need to go to the school and take some pictures with Bella and her teacher. I just hate to do that to her without planning in advance. (Don't want to get in teachers way) Is hard for me to plan anything though.

This is Scenic Route Appleton! Tracy at Treasures To Scrap sent me a big ol box full of goodies to play with. So you will be seeing some of these this week :) THANK YOU TRACY! LOVE IT! so bright and cheery. This was Bella's last year school photo... over priced and no they didnt brush her hair or wash her face. They let them out on the playground to waller around then brought them in to take photos. Ya.. for the lovely 29.95 you get what 4 pics? No thanks.

This is SEI BLACK ORCHID. SOOOO pretty!!!








This is a little bandaid tin that I painted and cut holes with my big bite. Added ribbon, Prima flowers, metal Faith and ALOT OF BLINGGGGG! I made the mini album out of some chipboard I had laying around. I cut them like luggage tags. Added bible verses to go in the Band aid tin. You know.. so when you have a boo boo you can patch it up with a little verse? GET IT? I knew you did cuz you are just smart that way YOu can find SEI Papers at TREASURES TO SCRAP. (and don't forget they are 35% cheaper than retail EVERYDAY!)

Sorry havn't updated. Shingles moved to the OTHER SIDE and on my ear where it is on the nerve it is on is effecting my eye and massive headache. But, I will be back Just got to get rid of headache. I LOVE these Websters Pages patterned papers. The papers are so versitile. Great for vintage photos or you can use them with modern style pages. GREAT for altered objects as well. I won these papers from THE DESIGN EXPERIMENT blog from a challenge I completed a couple weeks ago. I have had a blast playing with these papers. BUT IM NOT DONE YET I STILL HAVE SOME LOL. The florals are so pretty and the little bumble bees and butterflies. yumm


I want to take a photo of Bella's Chair that my brother made her from the wood from my Grandmothers House. My neighbor David took this photo of Bella with the chair in her dedication dress. But I need one of Just the chair. I think I can do that though.
THe challenge this month is to do cut work and to scrap an object. SO I thought it would make a good page to go in her album anyway. So many things we have that I want her to knwo where they came from and why they are special to me. I think this is a good way to do that. If you would like to join in on the challenge come on! LOTS OF FUN!

Bellas field trip got postponed till the 30th (WHHHEWWHEWWWW) Im glad as you can tell. Mainly because THEN, maybe I will get to go!!! It was raining today and also I have these blasted shingles. I ahve several that are open and no way I could be around humans with them. All I need is to catch a cold and whamo pneumonia again so. It worked out. John had calls today anyway and he wouldnt have been able to go either. so many kids are out sick so It just worked out. WHEHEW.
That is about it for me today.. Just tired I think from this med and the shingles. Im going to attempt to scrap some more. I have some photos over here I want to get done.

WOW is it MONDAY ALREADY?

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I have some more shingles that have popped up on my ear and neck so I spent alot of time resting and laying around this weekend. I did finally though get the page I had been working on this week with the lovely WEBSTERS PAGES I won from The Design Experiment. Had a great time playing with this paper I love it! Still have some and some photos Im planning on using with it too! You should go check it out. They have a new line that just came out as well that is sooo awesome.

Bella had a "hot date" this weekend. IT was so funny. John came back and told me Friday night that Brayden (his mom Tara works with the company John works with and we have gotten to be good friends with their family, they also live in our subdivision and have helped us out tremendously with Bella since I have been sick. Never can thank them and others that help us out enough! It is hard being this far away from family when things like this happen)
So anyway, Brayden calls JOHN and asks permission to take Bella to McDonalds. NOT just ANY McDonalds. THE GOOD MCDONALDS.
The one that has the video games and stuff! He was so excited John said.He came back here just shaking his head and laughing. HE said oh man she is only 5 I dunno If I can handle this hahahaaa. She was beaming from ear to ear. SHe told me she was gonna fix up CAAAUUUUTE before he (and his mom) picked her up.
SHe woke up at 7 am ready to go hahaha! Dunno what To do with them too but they sure are cute!!! Tara was so sweet she took some pics for me of them playing. I hate Im not able to go and do that much with Bella but Im so fortunate my Hubby and friends do take alot of pics for me so I don't feel like I miss as much. Thank you Tara for taking these pics for me!

The grand opening of AMR's (All Moments Remembered) Brick and Morter store was this weekend. In celebration, they had alot of stuff going on at the site and had a posting contest. Well since I had shingles and couldnt really do alot of anything. I figured hey.. why not. I knew a couple of the girls on there from other places and OMG it was so much fun. I have laughed till I thought I was gonna cry. IT really took my mind off of how bad my neck and ear hurt and also KEPT ME FROM SCRATCHING. (my fingers were too busy)
I was alot better by yesterday just so tired... so I finished my layout I had been working on for several days and after a long power nap (yeah the one I spoke up earlier where I thought it was the next day when I woke up) I jumped on and we all helped each other get some posts. It was great fun. I want to thank those ladies that was a lot of fun and Kept me from clawing my face off lol

In other news... Bella went to church with "Aunt Diane and Uncle David" so we kinda had the day to ourself. Was weird.. lol I actually laid down around lunch woke up and thought it was the next morning. I was so confused. I hate it when that happens.
But, the night before John came back at about 9 pm and told me OH YEAH, Bella told Diane that you had made a frame for the sunday school music teachers baby shower.. "HUH? what teacher? What Baby SHower? what baby??? EEK!!" "So ugh, is she having a boy baby or girl baby? Boy baby.." (soooo figures) If it was a girl? no problem! I could whip something right up but boy? no, got to plan for that I dont have alot of baby boy things. WHat had happened is Bella saw me make the Frame for Jessiah my friend Fran's new grandson with the Reminisce Jungle papers. SHE JUST WAS ADAMANT this frame was for THAT boy baby. I told her we didnt know if that baby had a J name or what that baby's name was gonna be, but that I PROMISE as soon as I find out We will make him a frame together. Well that kinda fixed it a little but boy she was upset with me. Im talkin crocodile tears! So THis week I HAVE GOT to get some baby boy paper and make that baby a frame before Sunday! It was just a prerequisit of what is to come I am sure. Im waiting for the "OH YEAH! I SIGNED YOU UP TO MAKE 400 cookies for the bake sale tomorrow. They have to be done by 7 am and its 9 pm now." Yeah I figure it will happen.

Hope you have a good monday. TODAY REMINISCE DESIGNS announced some of the winners of their contest. I got an honorable mention. HEY THAT IS BETTER THAN NOTHING HUH! Im excited! Especially with all the pages that I saw I wasn't expecting a thing. All the work I had submitted I had made for other stuff so It wasn't extra work, nothing ventured nothing gained! I was really surprised to see my name up there. I can't wait to see who won! (got my fingers crossed for several folks out there!) They are going to be announcing 3rd, 2nd, then 1st place all week. I know the girls who haven't been named already are probably nervous.
OK! I got to get to work. I have stuff due YIKES!

I just want yall to know I have not laughed this hard in I can't remember. We LOVED looking at your responses. I also felt the hugs and the love from the stories of personal experiences shared. So many people suffer from this illness in so many ways. I just pray some day they will find the cause and stop it from happening. I think that is my biggest wish is that Bella never have to deal with this herself or her kids or their decedents.

IT was a hard choice but omgosh some of the answers were just too funny.
My buddy liz made me spit my drink with HELEN WHEELZ, that is too perfect for me huh? We will call its given name rolio helenwheelz Jones. bwahahaha
I think I am going to (for now) going to have to use the idea of some sort of fabric or cushions to cover it with. Due to insurance hubby told me I cant do anything much to it for a short term then I can paint it whatever color I want hehehehe. THEN MY CREATIVE LICENSE I GUESS will be approved and I CAN GO WILD. Soooo I will be showing yall as we get this bad boy tricked out in all her glory.
SO I will be given them a little happy :)

BUT FOR THE BOX OF GOODIES I HAVE OVER HERE.... we put EVEEEEEEEEEERYONE that gave a suggestions name into this bowl.

Bella loves to make cards.. she just recently gave me the "Im sorry for somethin'" card after she wrote with a sharpie on a photo and thought she was dead meat. I know she thinks the reason she is still on earth is that she gave me that card. SEEE they come in sooo handy (hahaha)
so take some time today and make a few cards to have on hand. Ya never know when you might need to send one as a pick me up for someone! (or a peace offering haha)

Bella has a hot date today. HER BOY (Brayden) called John yesterday and asked permission to take her out to McDonalds to the play land. THE GOOD McDonalds playland that had the video games and the and the and the great big swiiiide! John was laughin because it was so cute how he was so excited explaining what all they were gonna do followed with a PWEEEASE can she come wiff us?
How can you say no to that? So Bella has a hot date today with Brayden. Tara just picked her up. I swear Im gonna have to watch that girl. KINDERGARTEN and already got the boys chasing her.

OK well Im off to finish this layout maybe (my hands are not aching today as bad thank you lord) and clean this house before they come put the yellow tape on the door and make us evacuate. I cannot wait for this to land on my doorstep. I am already plotting what Im going to be doing with it. The add ons sold out in just minutes! she has a couple left... of some things. most of it though is G O N E though! You have to be stalking to get the add ons most months. I feel like I am sleep walking today. Guido was obviously upset that a dog HOW DARE IT pass by HIS HOUSE this morning when some one was out taking a walk. People that DO NOT HAVE THEIR DOGS ON LEASHES MAKE ME CRAZY can I JUST SAY THAT! They will run up and have to look at him and he went crazy right under my window grrrrr. (same lady with that trained her dog to use our tree as a urinal ohhhh I just wanna know which house is hers and at 3 am return the favor sometime!) Yeah I know thats mean but geeez! I had stayed up late last night.
I went to the INSPIRE ME chat about the new releases from Websters Pages. OMG I was so inspired I stayed up wayyyyy too late scrapping last night. YOU SHOULD SEE THIS LINE! HOLY MOLY! Well you know I love orange. well this line has orange in it and omgosh it is just gorgeous and the new journaling cards AND the trims :swooon: It became available last night. so you can order it HERE check out the Reflections of Nature, and Inspired lines while your looking cuz omgosh DROOOL! Also I was looking through my gallery there and thought I had uploaded this frame I had made a while back. I obviously didn't because I couldn't find anywhere I had uploaded it to my computer. SO we must remedy that. I took another photo of it so I can post it. Sorry about that. I stayed up late last night working on a page. I am not finished with it but it is coming along nicely, lots of dimension and flowers and BUTTERFLIES yummm! I will try to come back and post it this afternoon or in the morning. Last night was also shot night so Im having the flu like effects today and just whooped tired.

OH oh oh! I got wheels yesterday! My new Wheelchair came in! whehew! Its pretty cool I didn't do electric. I am not ready for that THANK YOU LORD. I am going to try to stay out this sucka as long as I absolutly can. BUT, I have a problem where when I get tired, or the least bit hot, (or nauseaus) My legs just go weak, literally, I cannot take another step and they will not hold me up. It doesn't matter where I am, or what I am doing. I have gotten in trouble and very close to stuck, out in my back yard this summer twice. I was out just for a few minutes in the shade watching Bella swing or ride her bike. NO CAN DO. Heat is like kryptonite I tell you takes away my strength. I know you MS peeps understand what I am talking about. SO I have this now, that can fold up and fit nicely in my car. I can take it with me and go somewhere (when I get to go somewhere...) and not have to worry if they have one or if it is nasty or broken. I am praying I get to go on Bella's field trip next week. Hopefully it won't be too warm. It will be alot of walking, which, I know I cannot do. (I do good to go from here to the kitchen and then back without having to sit down and rest. thats a good day!!)

SO this wheelchair, it is just.. way too ughmm well... BLAHHHHHHHHHH. I got really mixed emotions yesterday when it came in. The harsh reality of what is yet to come. I mean we KNOWWW the inevitable, but we also know ME and I am a damned and determined cuss, and want to stay out of this sucker. BUT, I still say it still needs some blingage! WE SOOOO NEED TO PIMP THIS RIDE! I have already decided We also have to name it. This will be with me forever so, we have to be on a first name basis. I have a couple of ideas, Rollio has come to mind. (like me and rollio down by the school yard. sing it with me people) and I have had a few other suggestions. So tell me what you think. What should its name be?
Hmmmm wonder if this will account for one of my altered items? will have to check with boss lady on that haa! I told John we needed some spinners and some rims on it... its already low to the ground (you know how short I am and my feet have to touch the ground, John kept laughing at me because it WONT GO MUCH LOWER) I still see flames on it and it having some bling. cadillac it out, so tell me your suggestions. I will take everyones name that gives a suggestion and put their name in a hat for a RAK! So be thinking of some cool suggestions for it and tell me here!I will hook you up with some goodies!!

Happy October 1st!

HAPPY OCTOBER EVERYONE! This has to be MY MOST FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR! The air is getting a little bit cooler WHICH IS A HUGE PLUS since heat is to me as Kryptonite is to superman (totally disables all my super powers man!) The world is getting so beautiful. The leaves are starting to turn. AHHH just pretty. ALthough here in L.A. (LOWER Alabama) we get like a week of fallish weather then bam winter. Which when I say winter it isnt like WINTER up north ALabama where they get snow and cold cold weather.
We have only had snow one time since we had moved here. Unfortunatly it was at Christmas and we had gone home back to Mississippi and of course it DIDN'T snow there! So we missed it. OH WELL.
Last night Bella pulled out a stack of books and wanted John to read them to her. John looked at it and said ya know, you can read this Bella. It has most of your sight words in it. (Hop on pop by Dr. Seuss) I video taped her reading it to us. IT was pretty funny. She would argue with him on what some of the words were.
I would put the video up here but it is so dark you can't see it. I have to figure out this camera better on how to video with it. I guess If I READ THAT BOOK with the words in it, that splains all that, maybe it would help. Hmmm Maybe in the near future I will just let Bella read it to me hehe.

Tonight at INSPIRE ME , they are having their first ever chat! It is at 10 pm EST. I am still working on Bradlees album about the Michael Stark award he won last weekend.
Maybe I will get finished with it today. Then I can show ya! I will give you a sneak peak at a couple of the pages. My brother got permission from Michael's parents yesterday. I want to thank them for letting me put this up for you guys to see.
Michael passed away a year ago on October 28,2007. He was a member of the Bronco club that my brother Windale and nephew Bradlee are in. (it is a truck club where they go riding on trails and sling alot of mud around and act like boys! lots of fun)They got to know Michael and his family through attending the Oklahoma Classic Broncos Roundup for the past couple years.
In Michael's honor they started an award given to the young person that most exemplified the qualities and ethics that Michael held sacred. My nephew Bradlee was the first recipent of this award. They also held a memorial service on the trail and scattered Michael's ashes where he so loved to be. Back on the trail.
Michael's mantra was "DEEP FAITH ELIMINATES FEAR ON THE TRAIL" That is what I am using as the title of this little album. I want Bradlee to know HOW PROUD we are of him and the Stark family to know how honored we are that Bradlee was chosen for this.
