All kinda stuff to talk about today...

I had been having a little trouble with my eyes but it turned out to be a little bit of not alot thank goodness! ALOT OF bad bad dry eye stuff called Sjogrens syndrome. Seems alot of people with MS get this. and a possible bout of Optic Neuritis that in all instances is mild. Steroid drops will clear it up eventually It already feels better just have to keep these drops in it. I cover it and the light doesn't bother it much and I have kept scrapping.

I take it off and let light go in though and eye yi yi. YIKES.

BUT I DID get to scrap so I wont fuss too much.

I finished this mini album I had been working on. I have another one I just have to finish the embelishments. I have a photo I have to FIND!!! to go in it and I KNOW IT IS ON A DISK... just got to find the disk it is on and that is the problem grrr.
so anyway. Here is the album.

HOLY STICKLES! THATS FANCY!

OK so I haven't updated my blog in a while. Sorry. I figure yall are tired of hearing the same thing. I mean you know already most of it. haha. BUT I have to say IM pretty excited today. AMERICAN IDOL STARTS TONIGHT!!! Now we get to start PLAYING American Idol with Bella. SHE LOVES to stand up in front of us and AUDITION for John and I to GO TO HOLLY WOOD. I dunno if YOU remember or not but I had even done a layout about it.


I used the prima paintables paper and all my sakura pens and colored the buildings and cut them with my exacto, I took stickles and blinged some of them up a little

Each little building I opened and wrote behind it and put a photo of Bella and her little self singing and acting her little plays she does. We acted out the whole scenario of YOUR GOIN TO HOLLYWOOOOOD!!!


I evennnn got a note back from "CK MAGAZINE" Saying how incredibly imaginative this was but because of copyrite laws... they couldnt use it but how much they enjoyed this page. HEY that was good enough for me!! I felt like I was goin' to Hollywood.

I have been working on these two layouts for Tracy at Treasures to Scrap, for a while. Transparency's bumfuzzle me. (write that one down that is a technical term) my spell check wouldn't even cough on that one.
IT is almost impossible to take a decent photo in a home setting and get it to come out decent. especially if you are me. but this is what I came out with after a day of screaming and trying well more than a day. IT had rained, then was cloudy, then I took my shot and well, anyway...
There are lots and lots of stickles used in this post here my blog friends!

This is Fancy Pants Designs papers and overlay, Tim Holtz distress stickles and regular stickles, I used My Minds Eye Transfer titles on top of the overlay and then put stickles over it, I added wrights rick rack, scrapworks chipboard with more you guessed it STICKLESSSS, Making memories tiny alpha stickers to save the date.

You know how I told you Bella got LOTD at Treasures to scrap. WELL GUESS WHAT.
THE LITTLE STINKER WON LAYOUT OF THE WEEK! YA! SHE is walking around in all her glory now. She has told everyone about her new scrapbooking success. I think we need to make her a crown. (she expects one anyway. she is 5 afterall) boy I think when she grows up she is gonna have a rude awakening. but I wont ruin it for her yet.

Keep in mind these look a thousand times better in person. I dont have my CS anymore and cannot get my picassa to make this look right. This doesn't compare to real life.

I have been enjoying the Wii Fit (I guess enjoying is the word you use) every day. It is helping my balance and I can see progress well until today. I opened up the boxing one. Most of the things on there have a TRY IT and a demo. That one didnt. I didnt realise I was supposed to be playing when the little dude was laughing at me and saying are you there? and sayin You havnt even broken a sweat have you?
I can only do it in 10 min at a time episodes but I had a hugeeee hugeee accomplishment. I walked the tight rope. If You have a wii fit you will understand what Im talking about and this is a great feat. You have to walk this rope between two buildings and jump over this metal t hing that is tryin to eat ya. well for the first week I must have had magnets in my underwear cuz it always was chasing after me. FINALLY (my 5 year old) showed me how to jump it. yay! so I made it all the way across.
I do the balance stuff on it more than anything. losing weight would be a great thing. I have lost a good bit but balance and eye coordination is the most important. (you can look at those stickles and tell Houston! It ain't as easy as it used to be!!!
But if I do a little bit on it every day. It is getting easier.
Oh and one more funny. Bella learned it doesnt matter how old you are YOU NEVER forget how to hula hoop. yes her mama kicked her tail at hula hoop. THAT MENTAL IMAGE WAS JUST SPECIAL FOR MY BROTHER!!! HE CAN THANK ME LATER!

It will make a mama proud!!!

IF you could see my face right now you would see a big ol jack ol lantern grin on it right now. NOT ONLY is my neighbor NOT blowing off his driveway and it is after 8 am (I could get up and praise Jesus but let's not get crazy or anything) I don't feel like dancing. So I will praise QUIETLY with a smile from right here :)

SO you ask "Nancy what are you so happy about this morning?" well I will tell you. IM a proud mommy. IT doesn't take a lot to make a mommy proud of her babies. We all know that. You little susie could draw a straight line with a red crayon and we would all applaud and send huge abounds of applause across the internet that would make you think she shattered a world record cuz that is the kinda friends we are y a know. well this is kinda like that but better so GET YOUR CLAPPIN HANDS READY FOLKS :BIG CHEEZY :GRIN:

MY BABY GIRL WON LAYOUT OF THE DAY AT TREASURES!!!! IM sure this means absolutly NOTHING to you. BUT TO HER she is gonna be on cloud 99999999999!


She was soooooo excited to see her page up on the website.


She is so funny. She designated herself that she was on the design team. and she has this ONE DRESS (it is too little but she tries to wear it every time she creates) That she HASSSSSSSSSSSS to wear because she is on a design team. I keep telling her.. DO YOU SEE MAMA WEARIN A DRESS????? I don't think so. SHe said "but its my special project" Im thinkin "oh boy kid you got ALOTT TO LEARN!!!" We will work on that part!

That dress wont go over her head now but SHE INSISTSS she try. we had to hide it!!! she gets sooooo mad because she can't find it. (I PUT IT UP TO KEEP THOUGH)
I see a scrapbooker in the future here! Maybe she will carry this tradition on and appreciate these 55 million scrapboooks she will have hahahaha!


There has been SO MUCH going on at Treasures To Scrap. First ... The server crashed last weekend. yeah what a night mare. all weekend long through monday. Spend countless hourrrssssss with Tracy online and on the phone trying to help her get answers. EVERYONE worked so hard to help restore boards and Gallery's to how they were. We got it looking pretty good now but not all the Threads are there yet. So that is where I have been. we have been putting in countless hours trying to get it fixed. So sorry I haven't blogged. Between that and interferon and LEAF BLOWER MAN. (don't ask ...)

Good way to start out the New Year!

So did you eat your Peas? Your Cabbage? Nahh me either. Didnt work last year. We were still poor as ever hahaha.
BUT SInce it was my birthday yesterday John splurged and got me a steak! You know my most favorite thing in the world is a big nice thick juice rib eye (sorry Di I can feel you cringe as you read that) and potatoes nice salad and big glass of tea. I had leamonade instead since I had all that protien I figured I woudlnt kill my kidneys entirly. Bella got us up Early POUNCING us in the bed to watch the parade. Then John brought me my present (a 2 gig card he had gotten on sale whehew) I found that I have video on my camera (If I would have read the directions I would have known that sooner but I mean that would have been too easy huh) so I keep eating up the memory in my camera. So I thought that was really sweet he sacrificed to do that for me. I was so happy to be alive for this birthday... that it woudlnt have mattered. I took a LOOONG nap after watching the parade. Got up and checked my messages. Thank you for all the Happy Birthdays and well wishes I was shocked at all the messages wow! Thank you thank you!!!
We watched movies and foot ball and Bella played with all her Christmas presents.
WE ate our big steak supper then I finished watching the Monk marathon.
Today I went and got a MUCH NEEDED HAIR CUT THANK YOU LORD!

SHe saw the fire crackers and thought it was supposed to be some big thing happen like the whole world was gonna change. I told her I kinda hope it would but it might be kinda scary if it did. Maybe this year in 2009 the world will change for the better. but.... I got a bad bad feelin.... it will get worse fore it gets better.

My friend Tara Rented us some lanes at the bowlin alley so we had us a little celebration there. It was soooooooooooo much fun. Since it was her sister Debbie's birthday today and my birthday new years day it only seemed appropriate.

HEre is what I did with the kit!

I made THIS:
(forgive my layout photos... My computer crashed I got that virus from facebook and lost my photoshop cs3 and I cannot find my disk anywhereeee or my reg number so Im using picassa and well. I cant figure it out yet so My layouts are not looking as good with it so bear with me ok)


This was a gift for my neighbors David and Diane they do sooooooo much for us and they saw one of these that I had done a while back and she wanted one. sooooooo I had to do one fo rher for chrismtas. so. I made it without the photo of their house so when the weather gets pretty they can put their own photo on it.

*THE Canvas is not included in the kit.



THe journaling on this one reads:

Life is not always fair you see,

It is hard to see in the photo but I used tiny pearl bling all the way across the top and bottom. I will try to get a better photo to put up of this.



Bella played Mary in the church play this paper was perfect to use I added stickles and some flowers to make it more girly and kinda go with I also stamped with heidi swapp harlequin stamps (included in the kit) with lavendar and peach inks in the back ground and used glimmer mist to make it sparkly to give it a more christmasy and vintage feel.

I had fun with this kit. I got some layouts done and a Christmas gift made. I have a few more I want to do.

I also want to show yall the NEWEST ADDITION TO THE JONES HOUSEHOLD!
Her name keeps changing. It started off as Mindy lou now it is Barbie after a horse Bella rode at the Fall festival....





MY BROTHER and SISTER IN LAW DID THIS TO US I MEAN GAVE THIS TO BELLA. ;) SHE LOVESSSSSSSSSSSS IT. she talks to it constantly first thing she did this morning was run go see it it was ok. for those of you that dont know, this thing really moves it's head around to the sound of her voice or the noise in the room, if you pet her she will wag her tail and whinney, when she gets on her she will make galloping sounds and bounce up and down, she really makes chomping noises like she is eating the carrot, she wiggles her ears and blinks her eyes when you talk to her. Its kinda freaky but amazingggg. SHe was flirting with Guido (our austrailian shepherd)through the window... Guido stares at it through the window wanting to know why that "dog" gets to be in the house. rofl. we splained to him it was not a real dog. but he aint buyin it. poor guido. I wish Bella wasnt allergic to guido so he could be an inside dog but... my child would be a big ol welp.
Im thankful for the horse actually Im thankful that she didnt get ROCKBAND for the Wii!!!!! (He threatened me I mean told me he was thinking of getting her that so yeah I was happy to see the horse instead SHOCKED to say the least but ya happy it wasnt drums... we already had a set a drums whens he was 2 but luckily she sat on them a couple weeks after she got them)
so anyway. Bella had AN AMAAAAAZINGGGGGGGG CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR. Thank you again to EVERYONE> I will be working on Thank yous soon. I am trying desperatly to catch up on design team Projects and everything I have been sick most of the month of December and part of November so Im sooo behind.
these shots are still no fun but tolerable.

So hard to say goodbye to a dear friend

How do you put into words what is going on in your heart. How do you say goodbye to someone when you just are not ready to.



Beverly Todd was taken from us way too soon. December the 23 she had a brain bleed (aneurysm) and was taken to the hospital where she went into a coma and never returned. on December 24th after many prayers and dr efforts were made she was taken from life support. Her organs were donated as Beverly would have wanted done on December 25th. She is survived by her husband and 4 boys.
How do they deal with this? How do you begin to move on?

Beverly was an amazing person. She had an infectious laugh and sense of humor. She kept me cracking up. When I was diagnosed with M.S. at first she said omg nancy then she said "well girl you will do anything for me to come to the states wont you." Again I cracked up!She never got to make that trip...
We talked about the differences between England and Alabama. I told her I would make her cornbread and she gagged at the thought, I would laugh and she would snarl at me.
these are the things I will remember about her.

NOT TO MENTION her AMAZING scrapbook skills. She started a blog with my dear friend Colette. Called Pen Pals. I am so very Thankful she did. It was a journaling challenge blog. NOW HER FAMILY HAS THOSE LAYOUTS. THOSE PRECIOUS WORDS forever. her thoughts on paper of what she felt in her heart and her dreams and feelings and things she wanted for them.











I hope the blog continues. I know she would have wanted it to.
Im at a loss for words right now. I just am still in shock. I have shed more tears in the last 24 hours than I thought I could and I still am. I fell so just full of tears for her children and her entire family. I will miss her. omg will I ever miss her. I knew something was up. I talked to Di she told me she had gotten an email and I told her I had a bad feeling because I had not heard from her. Also her blog had not been updated. She had not responded to emails and had not written me in a while which was unusual. Di said same thing. we both had that pit in your stomach feeling that we just knew she was gone. She talked with Adam and got confirmation it was true. But it still just doesnt seem real. I still cannot find the words to say goodbye to my dear friend. I know she will live on in her beautiful boys. she loved them soooo very very much. She loved her garden.




she loved scrapbooking. she loved her friends. she loved her family.
and we all loved her.



I find it fitting to put her layouts of the things she loved here. and her cards. she was on Di's card sketch team... this was the last card she posted.

I still can't find the words... I don't know what else I can say. I miss her. I will miss her forever. I will miss her scrapbooking her laughing and joking, her friendship her sharing. I am a better person for knowing her. I thank God for bringing her into my life. I don't understand why he had to take her from everyone so soon... I guess the good lord needed some scrapping done up there...
