Did ya give up on me? Did you think I wasn't gonna post? Well If so I fooled you.
My cord on my camera was giving me some fits so I wasn't able to upload my stuffs.
Ticked me off, but the wonderful hubster fixed it. so now I can show you stuff again :)

This is Scenic Route Appleton! Tracy at Treasures To Scrap sent me a big ol box full of goodies to play with. So you will be seeing some of these this week :) THANK YOU TRACY! LOVE IT! so bright and cheery. This was Bella's last year school photo... over priced and no they didnt brush her hair or wash her face. They let them out on the playground to waller around then brought them in to take photos. Ya.. for the lovely 29.95 you get what 4 pics? No thanks.

This is SEI BLACK ORCHID. SOOOO pretty!!!








This is a little bandaid tin that I painted and cut holes with my big bite. Added ribbon, Prima flowers, metal Faith and ALOT OF BLINGGGGG! I made the mini album out of some chipboard I had laying around. I cut them like luggage tags. Added bible verses to go in the Band aid tin. You know.. so when you have a boo boo you can patch it up with a little verse? GET IT? I knew you did cuz you are just smart that way YOu can find SEI Papers at TREASURES TO SCRAP. (and don't forget they are 35% cheaper than retail EVERYDAY!)

Sorry havn't updated. Shingles moved to the OTHER SIDE and on my ear where it is on the nerve it is on is effecting my eye and massive headache. But, I will be back Just got to get rid of headache. Hopefully I can show more cool stuff tomorrow. In the mean time how about checking out some of the links over on the side where it says BLOGS I LOVE. I have some massive talented buds. I need to add some to my list over there and I think I have a few links that don't work anymore. I LOVE these Websters Pages patterned papers. The papers are so versitile. Great for vintage photos or you can use them with modern style pages. GREAT for altered objects as well. I won these papers from THE DESIGN EXPERIMENT blog from a challenge I completed a couple weeks ago. I have had a blast playing with these papers. BUT IM NOT DONE YET I STILL HAVE SOME LOL. The florals are so pretty and the little bumble bees and butterflies. yumm


I want to take a photo of Bella's Chair that my brother made her from the wood from my Grandmothers House. My neighbor David took this photo of Bella with the chair in her dedication dress. But I need one of Just the chair. I think I can do that though.
THe challenge this month is to do cut work and to scrap an object. SO I thought it would make a good page to go in her album anyway. So many things we have that I want her to knwo where they came from and why they are special to me. I think this is a good way to do that. If you would like to join in on the challenge come on! LOTS OF FUN!

Bellas field trip got postponed till the 30th (WHHHEWWHEWWWW) Im glad as you can tell. Mainly because THEN, maybe I will get to go!!! It was raining today and also I have these blasted shingles. I ahve several that are open and no way I could be around humans with them. All I need is to catch a cold and whamo pneumonia again so. It worked out. John had calls today anyway and he wouldnt have been able to go either. so many kids are out sick so It just worked out. WHEHEW.
That is about it for me today.. Just tired I think from this med and the shingles. Im going to attempt to scrap some more. I have some photos over here I want to get done.

WOW is it MONDAY ALREADY?

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I have some more shingles that have popped up on my ear and neck so I spent alot of time resting and laying around this weekend. I did finally though get the page I had been working on this week with the lovely WEBSTERS PAGES I won from The Design Experiment. Had a great time playing with this paper I love it! Still have some and some photos Im planning on using with it too! You should go check it out. They have a new line that just came out as well that is sooo awesome.

Bella had a "hot date" this weekend. IT was so funny. John came back and told me Friday night that Brayden (his mom Tara works with the company John works with and we have gotten to be good friends with their family, they also live in our subdivision and have helped us out tremendously with Bella since I have been sick. Never can thank them and others that help us out enough! It is hard being this far away from family when things like this happen)
So anyway, Brayden calls JOHN and asks permission to take Bella to McDonalds. NOT just ANY McDonalds. THE GOOD MCDONALDS.
The one that has the video games and stuff! He was so excited John said.He came back here just shaking his head and laughing. HE said oh man she is only 5 I dunno If I can handle this hahahaaa. She was beaming from ear to ear. SHe told me she was gonna fix up CAAAUUUUTE before he (and his mom) picked her up.
SHe woke up at 7 am ready to go hahaha! Dunno what To do with them too but they sure are cute!!! Tara was so sweet she took some pics for me of them playing. I hate Im not able to go and do that much with Bella but Im so fortunate my Hubby and friends do take alot of pics for me so I don't feel like I miss as much. Thank you Tara for taking these pics for me!

The grand opening of AMR's (All Moments Remembered) Brick and Morter store was this weekend. In celebration, they had alot of stuff going on at the site and had a posting contest. Well since I had shingles and couldnt really do alot of anything. I figured hey.. why not. I knew a couple of the girls on there from other places and OMG it was so much fun. I have laughed till I thought I was gonna cry. IT really took my mind off of how bad my neck and ear hurt and also KEPT ME FROM SCRATCHING. (my fingers were too busy)
I was alot better by yesterday just so tired... so I finished my layout I had been working on for several days and after a long power nap (yeah the one I spoke up earlier where I thought it was the next day when I woke up) I jumped on and we all helped each other get some posts. It was great fun. I want to thank those ladies that was a lot of fun and Kept me from clawing my face off lol

In other news... Bella went to church with "Aunt Diane and Uncle David" so we kinda had the day to ourself. Was weird.. lol I actually laid down around lunch woke up and thought it was the next morning. I was so confused. I hate it when that happens.
But, the night before John came back at about 9 pm and told me OH YEAH, Bella told Diane that you had made a frame for the sunday school music teachers baby shower.. "HUH? what teacher? What Baby SHower? what baby??? EEK!!" "So ugh, is she having a boy baby or girl baby? Boy baby.." (soooo figures) If it was a girl? no problem! I could whip something right up but boy? no, got to plan for that I dont have alot of baby boy things. WHat had happened is Bella saw me make the Frame for Jessiah my friend Fran's new grandson with the Reminisce Jungle papers. SHE JUST WAS ADAMANT this frame was for THAT boy baby. I told her we didnt know if that baby had a J name or what that baby's name was gonna be, but that I PROMISE as soon as I find out We will make him a frame together. Well that kinda fixed it a little but boy she was upset with me. Im talkin crocodile tears! So THis week I HAVE GOT to get some baby boy paper and make that baby a frame before Sunday! It was just a prerequisit of what is to come I am sure. Im waiting for the "OH YEAH! I SIGNED YOU UP TO MAKE 400 cookies for the bake sale tomorrow. They have to be done by 7 am and its 9 pm now." Yeah I figure it will happen.

Hope you have a good monday. TODAY REMINISCE DESIGNS announced some of the winners of their contest. I got an honorable mention. HEY THAT IS BETTER THAN NOTHING HUH! Im excited! Especially with all the pages that I saw I wasn't expecting a thing. All the work I had submitted I had made for other stuff so It wasn't extra work, nothing ventured nothing gained! I was really surprised to see my name up there. I can't wait to see who won! (got my fingers crossed for several folks out there!) They are going to be announcing 3rd, 2nd, then 1st place all week. I know the girls who haven't been named already are probably nervous.
OK! I got to get to work. I have stuff due YIKES!

I just want yall to know I have not laughed this hard in I can't remember. We LOVED looking at your responses. I also felt the hugs and the love from the stories of personal experiences shared. So many people suffer from this illness in so many ways. I just pray some day they will find the cause and stop it from happening. I think that is my biggest wish is that Bella never have to deal with this herself or her kids or their decedents.

IT was a hard choice but omgosh some of the answers were just too funny.
My buddy liz made me spit my drink with HELEN WHEELZ, that is too perfect for me huh? We will call its given name rolio helenwheelz Jones. bwahahaha
I think I am going to (for now) going to have to use the idea of some sort of fabric or cushions to cover it with. Due to insurance hubby told me I cant do anything much to it for a short term then I can paint it whatever color I want hehehehe. THEN MY CREATIVE LICENSE I GUESS will be approved and I CAN GO WILD. Soooo I will be showing yall as we get this bad boy tricked out in all her glory.
SO I will be given them a little happy :)

Bella loves to make cards.. she just recently gave me the "Im sorry for somethin'" card after she wrote with a sharpie on a photo and thought she was dead meat. I know she thinks the reason she is still on earth is that she gave me that card. SEEE they come in sooo handy (hahaha)
so take some time today and make a few cards to have on hand. Ya never know when you might need to send one as a pick me up for someone! (or a peace offering haha)

Bella has a hot date today. HER BOY (Brayden) called John yesterday and asked permission to take her out to McDonalds to the play land. THE GOOD McDonalds playland that had the video games and the and the and the great big swiiiide! John was laughin because it was so cute how he was so excited explaining what all they were gonna do followed with a PWEEEASE can she come wiff us?
How can you say no to that? So Bella has a hot date today with Brayden. Tara just picked her up. I swear Im gonna have to watch that girl. KINDERGARTEN and already got the boys chasing her.

OK well Im off to finish this layout maybe (my hands are not aching today as bad thank you lord) and clean this house before they come put the yellow tape on the door and make us evacuate. WHEW lots of stuffs today!

I cannot wait for this to land on my doorstep. I am already plotting what Im going to be doing with it. The add ons sold out in just minutes! she has a couple left... of some things. most of it though is G O N E though! You have to be stalking to get the add ons most months. SHE IS HAVING A BIG SALE though in her store. THere is not alot left from the kits but what she does have she is running discounts on right now. I feel like I am sleep walking today. Guido was obviously upset that a dog HOW DARE IT pass by HIS HOUSE this morning when some one was out taking a walk. People that DO NOT HAVE THEIR DOGS ON LEASHES MAKE ME CRAZY can I JUST SAY THAT! They will run up and have to look at him and he went crazy right under my window grrrrr. (same lady with that trained her dog to use our tree as a urinal ohhhh I just wanna know which house is hers and at 3 am return the favor sometime!) Yeah I know thats mean but geeez! I had stayed up late last night.
I went to the INSPIRE ME chat about the new releases from Websters Pages. OMG I was so inspired I stayed up wayyyyy too late scrapping last night. YOU SHOULD SEE THIS LINE! HOLY MOLY! Well you know I love orange. well this line has orange in it and omgosh it is just gorgeous and the new journaling cards AND the trims :swooon: It became available last night. so you can order it HERE check out the Reflections of Nature, and Inspired lines while your looking cuz omgosh DROOOL! If you love to layer (as you know I do) you will be very excited about the new line. I see so much potential with this! They also have those beautiful calendar pages!
Also I was looking through my gallery there and thought I had uploaded this frame I had made a while back. I obviously didn't because I couldn't find anywhere I had uploaded it to my computer. SO we must remedy that. I took another photo of it so I can post it. Sorry about that. I stayed up late last night working on a page. I am not finished with it but it is coming along nicely, lots of dimension and flowers and BUTTERFLIES yummm! I will try to come back and post it this afternoon or in the morning. Last night was also shot night so Im having the flu like effects today and just whooped tired.

OH oh oh! I got wheels yesterday! My new Wheelchair came in! whehew! Its pretty cool I didn't do electric. I am not ready for that THANK YOU LORD. I am going to try to stay out this sucka as long as I absolutly can. BUT, I have a problem where when I get tired, or the least bit hot, (or nauseaus) My legs just go weak, literally, I cannot take another step and they will not hold me up. It doesn't matter where I am, or what I am doing. I have gotten in trouble and very close to stuck, out in my back yard this summer twice. I was out just for a few minutes in the shade watching Bella swing or ride her bike. NO CAN DO. Heat is like kryptonite I tell you takes away my strength. I know you MS peeps understand what I am talking about. SO I have this now, that can fold up and fit nicely in my car. I can take it with me and go somewhere (when I get to go somewhere...) and not have to worry if they have one or if it is nasty or broken. I am praying I get to go on Bella's field trip next week. Hopefully it won't be too warm. It will be alot of walking, which, I know I cannot do. (I do good to go from here to the kitchen and then back without having to sit down and rest. thats a good day!!)

SO this wheelchair, it is just.. way too ughmm well... BLAHHHHHHHHHH. I got really mixed emotions yesterday when it came in. The harsh reality of what is yet to come. I mean we KNOWWW the inevitable, but we also know ME and I am a damned and determined cuss, and want to stay out of this sucker. BUT, I still say it still needs some blingage! WE SOOOO NEED TO PIMP THIS RIDE! I have already decided We also have to name it. This will be with me forever so, we have to be on a first name basis. I have a couple of ideas, Rollio has come to mind. (like me and rollio down by the school yard. sing it with me people) and I have had a few other suggestions. So tell me what you think. What should its name be?
Hmmmm wonder if this will account for one of my altered items? will have to check with boss lady on that haa! I told John we needed some spinners and some rims on it... its already low to the ground (you know how short I am and my feet have to touch the ground, John kept laughing at me because it WONT GO MUCH LOWER) I still see flames on it and it having some bling. cadillac it out, so tell me your suggestions. I will take everyones name that gives a suggestion and put their name in a hat for a RAK! So be thinking of some cool suggestions for it and tell me here!I will hook you up with some goodies!!

Happy October 1st!

HAPPY OCTOBER EVERYONE! This has to be MY MOST FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR! The air is getting a little bit cooler WHICH IS A HUGE PLUS since heat is to me as Kryptonite is to superman (totally disables all my super powers man!) The world is getting so beautiful. The leaves are starting to turn. AHHH just pretty. ALthough here in L.A. (LOWER Alabama) we get like a week of fallish weather then bam winter. Which when I say winter it isnt like WINTER up north ALabama where they get snow and cold cold weather.
We have only had snow one time since we had moved here. Unfortunatly it was at Christmas and we had gone home back to Mississippi and of course it DIDN'T snow there! So we missed it. OH WELL.
Last night Bella pulled out a stack of books and wanted John to read them to her. John looked at it and said ya know, you can read this Bella. It has most of your sight words in it. (Hop on pop by Dr. Seuss) I video taped her reading it to us. IT was pretty funny. She would argue with him on what some of the words were.
I would put the video up here but it is so dark you can't see it. I have to figure out this camera better on how to video with it. I guess If I READ THAT BOOK with the words in it, that splains all that, maybe it would help. Hmmm Maybe in the near future I will just let Bella read it to me hehe.

Tonight at INSPIRE ME , they are having their first ever chat! It is at 10 pm EST. I am still working on Bradlees album about the Michael Stark award he won last weekend.
Maybe I will get finished with it today. Then I can show ya! I will give you a sneak peak at a couple of the pages. My brother got permission from Michael's parents yesterday. I want to thank them for letting me put this up for you guys to see.
Michael passed away a year ago on October 28,2007. He was a member of the Bronco club that my brother Windale and nephew Bradlee are in. (it is a truck club where they go riding on trails and sling alot of mud around and act like boys! lots of fun)They got to know Michael and his family through attending the Oklahoma Classic Broncos Roundup for the past couple years.
In Michael's honor they started an award given to the young person that most exemplified the qualities and ethics that Michael held sacred. My nephew Bradlee was the first recipent of this award. They also held a memorial service on the trail and scattered Michael's ashes where he so loved to be. Back on the trail.
Michael's mantra was "DEEP FAITH ELIMINATES FEAR ON THE TRAIL" That is what I am using as the title of this little album. I want Bradlee to know HOW PROUD we are of him and the Stark family to know how honored we are that Bradlee was chosen for this.

Good things are HAPPENINNNG!!!!

First off let me start by saying I think I miscommunicated in my yesterdays post that I created ALLLL THOSE projects this past weekend. UGHHH no! I did the mini album in the previous post, the canvas, the flowerdy layout and a couple more projects but NOT ALLL THAT This weekend. Those are REMINISCE projects I have made and wanted them all together for the DT entry. Sorry if I mislead yall.

This past weekend my nephew Bradlee went with my brother Windale to a Bronco expedition. Its like this truck club where all these guys get together and see how much mud they can sling and how difficult a path they can ride down. YA fun huh?
Well this trail ride they did was also an anniversary of a young man that died last year named Micheal Stark.
They memorialized him by giving an award away to a young man that exemplified the kind of life that Micheal led with the values he lived by. BRADLEE WON THE AWARD. I am so proud of him!!
I worked on a mini album last night with photos from this weekend. I am awaiting permission from the Stark Family before I post the pages on my blog though. The first few pages are all about Michael with photos of him and also his family.


This is a REALLY BIG honor in the Bronco world. I am so very proud of Bradlee and yes my butt head brother too! (SMOOCH)

I have been scrapping alot lately. I also have some other exciting news. I WON THE PEN PALS CHALLENGE!! YES! I know I was totally floored. SOOOOOO, I get to do Challenge no 7! SO I have my thinking cap on and I wanna make it a good one!

I have been having EXTREMELY good luck lately. MAN I HOPE IT CONTINUES! I told John I needed to buy a lottery ticket.
I received my rak from The Design Experiment challenge that I won. I got some AMAZING WEBSTERS PAGES paper. OMGOSH I cant wait to play with it. Its on my list.

Yesterday I made this cute little card set. PERFECT for gift giving. I did not come up with this idea. I took this in a class here locally from a close to my heart rep. She did a great job with it and it was sooo easy and fun. I thought it would be fun to pass it along to you guys.

I used the October Kit from Scrapbook obsessions.



Take a 6x6 page protector and cut the part that you put into the album off just after the seam.


Cut a piece of double sided paper to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.


Round one end, you can use a dinner plate or a bowl and trace around the edge of it then cut. Ink the edges


SCORE at 2 and 1/2 and at 3 inches from the rounded edge.


Add the decorative fiber to the edge of the patterned paper.


slide down inside the page protector. Place a velcro sticky on the rounded edge of cardstock and one on the matching side of the page protector to hold it closed.

THEN make 4 general occasion cards.

Man I got my scrap on big time this weekend. I EVENNNN started on Christmas already! Yeah I know you are shocked.. I was too.
I have been playing with my kit from Scrapbook Obsessions. I have had a great time scrapping with it.

MY HAPPINESS...

So I got my kit from Scrapbook Obsessions and I have to tell you, It is SOOOOO much better in person than that photo gives justice. THIS has quickly become my most favorite kit she has had. ALthough they are all awesome. This mini album is so far up my alley it screams my name! THEREFORE, Sorry family your not gettin' this one! ITS MINE ALL MINE ::said in my evil villain voice:: bwaahahaha!
OH hush like yall don't have your shelves full of mini's DONT JUDGE! DONT BE HATIN!

SO anyway, THis is the new Basic Grey chocolate Chipboard Ecclectic Mini album. AND WHAT I DID WITH IT. THese are some of the things that make me happy.










I added an extra page to mine, I have so many things that make me happy I didnt have enough room for them all!!
I used UHU TWIST AND GLUE to make this project. IT worked wonderfully on the patterned papers as well as the embellishments. It was liquid enough that you could slide it around and match up the edges but then hold really well and not have to worry about losing your embellishments off of the album.

It is a beautiful day here today. John and Bella are outside doing.. something. Im not sure what. setting stuff on fire I think.. we had some limbs down from GUSTAV that were littering the back yard. I THINK they are cleaning that up. I still have more stuff to scrap hehe.
I saw Nickelodeon had shut their programming off for 3 hours today for NATIONAL DAY OF PLAY. Which I thought was pretty cool. An Effort to make kids get outside and play instead of veg in front of the tv. ITs not as hot outside although it is sunshiney so A PERFFFECT DAY to be out and play.
IM going to watch them as I play with my scrap stuff hehe

ITS FRIDAY!

ITS FRIDAY!!! Are you happy its friday? Silly question huh?
Bella is out of school today so we will be staying "entertained" and hopefully out of trouble. Which is gonna be hard for me because I GOT MY KIT YESTERDAY from SCRAPBOOK OBSESSIONS!!!! SO all I wanna do is dig my hands into it and start creating.
I have started my mini album already and OMGOSH I am in LOVEEEE with that new Basic Grey Chocolate chipboard. This is the cutest album so many fun shapes and sizes. You can see it in my previous post. I THINK she still has a few available. THIS is the best kit as of date IN MY OPINION. SO far my most favorite!!!

I DID make a simple little page yesterday while stalking the mail lady waiting for my kit.
THis is for the Design Experiment Blog. We were to scrap about our INDULGENCE. My mom is probably gonna cringe when she sees this layout. Sorry mom but YES I love in the summer time when it is REALLY REALLY HOT, and I had been playin ball or ridin' horses or working in the yard or whatever to sit in the shade with an ice cold beer. SO COLD it had little slivers of ice at the top. mmmmmm. Sorry mom. BUT you can rest easy because I cant have it anymore now that I am on this medication. Oh well Its all about indulgence. lol




This was a quick page and really easy for me to do.

Journaling says: IT doesnt take much to make me happy. Cheetoos, Doritos, chocolate a little peanut butter or an ice cold CHILL on a warm summer day. After I take my Shot I always treat myself to chips or chocolate, makes it a little more bearable when you know you have that tasty reward. I am not allowed my one chill anymore but Oh when I do get to have one again someday it will be a major treat!

I used up some of my older paper (WHEHEW AREN'T YOU PROUD OF ME?!!) This is the Basic Grey COLOR ME HAPPY line from way back when (one of my most favorite lines they had)
I also used Basic Grey buttons, Doodlebug jewels and Making Memories Felt stickers and Bazzill Cardstock. I have been stuck on Black backgrounds lately lol.
