WHEW lots of stuffs today!

I wanna give a shout out to my pal Lisa Dorsey! Thank you sooo much I received my RAK yesterday! You are just the sweetest evah and I love it! Thank you thank you thank you! Made me smile big yesterday! Love me some orange! (and Basic Grey I mean how can you go wrong haha)
Sooo much to tell you about today! Im so excited about the new kit at Scrapbook Obsessions this month. I LOVE all that orange! That is the new release Ambrosia by Basic Grey. I cannot wait for this to land on my doorstep. I am already plotting what Im going to be doing with it. The add ons sold out in just minutes! she has a couple left... of some things. most of it though is G O N E though! You have to be stalking to get the add ons most months. SHE IS HAVING A BIG SALE though in her store. THere is not alot left from the kits but what she does have she is running discounts on right now. She is getting the news kit things in and neeeds some space! So check it out because you can get some good deals on some past kits and other essentials! Just click on the banner that says SALE on it!
I feel like I am sleep walking today. Guido was obviously upset that a dog HOW DARE IT pass by HIS HOUSE this morning when some one was out taking a walk. People that DO NOT HAVE THEIR DOGS ON LEASHES MAKE ME CRAZY can I JUST SAY THAT! They will run up and have to look at him and he went crazy right under my window grrrrr. (same lady with that trained her dog to use our tree as a urinal ohhhh I just wanna know which house is hers and at 3 am return the favor sometime!) Yeah I know thats mean but geeez! I had stayed up late last night.
I went to the INSPIRE ME chat about the new releases from Websters Pages. OMG I was so inspired I stayed up wayyyyy too late scrapping last night. YOU SHOULD SEE THIS LINE! HOLY MOLY! Well you know I love orange. well this line has orange in it and omgosh it is just gorgeous and the new journaling cards AND the trims :swooon: It became available last night. so you can order it HERE check out the Reflections of Nature, and Inspired lines while your looking cuz omgosh DROOOL! If you love to layer (as you know I do) you will be very excited about the new line. I see so much potential with this! They also have those beautiful calendar pages!
Also I was looking through my gallery there and thought I had uploaded this frame I had made a while back. I obviously didn't because I couldn't find anywhere I had uploaded it to my computer. SO we must remedy that. I took another photo of it so I can post it. Sorry about that. THis is from an older but absolutly gorgeous line called PARLOR if you scroll down on that list you can see the whole line. Very pretty fall papers.
There was alot of talk about the new releases that are to come out in the next few months. All kind of awesome embellishments,Flowers and trims! I am so excited about this! Terri Conrad outdid herself this time! THANK YOU TERRI!

I stayed up late last night working on a page. I am not finished with it but it is coming along nicely, lots of dimension and flowers and BUTTERFLIES yummm! I will try to come back and post it this afternoon or in the morning. Last night was also shot night so Im having the flu like effects today and just whooped tired.

OH oh oh! I got wheels yesterday! My new Wheelchair came in! whehew! Its pretty cool I didn't do electric. I am not ready for that THANK YOU LORD. I am going to try to stay out this sucka as long as I absolutly can. BUT, I have a problem where when I get tired, or the least bit hot, (or nauseaus) My legs just go weak, literally, I cannot take another step and they will not hold me up. It doesn't matter where I am, or what I am doing. I have gotten in trouble and very close to stuck, out in my back yard this summer twice. I was out just for a few minutes in the shade watching Bella swing or ride her bike. NO CAN DO. Heat is like kryptonite I tell you takes away my strength. I know you MS peeps understand what I am talking about. SO I have this now, that can fold up and fit nicely in my car. I can take it with me and go somewhere (when I get to go somewhere...) and not have to worry if they have one or if it is nasty or broken. I am praying I get to go on Bella's field trip next week. Hopefully it won't be too warm. It will be alot of walking, which, I know I cannot do. (I do good to go from here to the kitchen and then back without having to sit down and rest. thats a good day!!)

SO this wheelchair, it is just.. way too ughmm well... BLAHHHHHHHHHH. I got really mixed emotions yesterday when it came in. The harsh reality of what is yet to come. I mean we KNOWWW the inevitable, but we also know ME and I am a damned and determined cuss, and want to stay out of this sucker. BUT, I still say it still needs some blingage! WE SOOOO NEED TO PIMP THIS RIDE! I have already decided We also have to name it. This will be with me forever so, we have to be on a first name basis. I have a couple of ideas, Rollio has come to mind. (like me and rollio down by the school yard. sing it with me people) and I have had a few other suggestions. So tell me what you think. What should its name be?
Hmmmm wonder if this will account for one of my altered items? will have to check with boss lady on that haa! I told John we needed some spinners and some rims on it... its already low to the ground (you know how short I am and my feet have to touch the ground, John kept laughing at me because it WONT GO MUCH LOWER) I still see flames on it and it having some bling. cadillac it out, so tell me your suggestions. I will take everyones name that gives a suggestion and put their name in a hat for a RAK! So be thinking of some cool suggestions for it and tell me here!I will hook you up with some goodies!!
I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Well, I can't say I'm very good with coming up with things like names, but I sure like your idea of Rollio! And love your attitude about all of this as well. You're an inspiration!

Love that new Ambrosia line and have already picked some up and been playing with it! Have fun!

Hope you get some other good suggestions for names and sweet of you todo an RAK too!

Nancy, you are too cute. I'd say name it Mr. McFeely....you know...Speedy...Mr. Rogers....okay...maybe not! LOL! Whatever you do to embellish it I think you should make it so that it is not permanent so you can update from time to time! You could cut designs from vinyl on a Cricut if you have one and stick those on the back! Snowflakes for winter, flowers in the spring, etc. You will have fun with it...you know you will!

OH I LOVE THAT IDEA JINGLE!!!

I'm not interested in being eligible for a RAK but I still wanted to share my name idea with you. I like "Poppa Wheelie". LOL!

Thank you for stopping by at my blog yesterday!
Lovely kit and the RAK looks cool too!

Hi and good morning to you, Nancy. Gotta love your attitude about your new friend. And friend it will be if it enables you to remain active. As for blinging and decorating it, I'm thinking of some pretty ribbons like we do on the spines of albums. Could be a problem with them getting soiled too easily though. But how about a few butterflies. Those would be very pretty Might have to be some rubons though. Anyway, have fun and I'll be watching for pics of the snazziest mobility enabler around!

I love the Ambrosia line from BG too. Love what you did with the frame, it's so pretty! Your new chair looks nice and I think rollio is a cool name for a chair. Sorry I can't come up with anything else but I wanted to let you know that I'll be keeping you in my thoughts while you go through this new phase. Chin up!

Hi again, I left my suggestions yesterday. .Boogey Buggy
You could pur flames in your favorite colors and then Bling it with rhinestones and ribbons. Whatever you do we want PICTURES!!! Your attitude has inspired me alot!!!! Thanks!

Ribbons, Bling, and lights... My friend's daughter is in a wheel chair, and she has lights on the wheels that blink when she moves (kinda like those kids shoes that blink when they walk)

Not sure about a name - Poppa Wheelie is cute!

naomi_m said...

I definately think you need to put some fabric on it. It looks like it shouldn't be too difficult to do. I love that you're gonna make it your own.

Pink it out! PUNK MOBILE!
PINK MOBILE! Add a PINK BLING skull patch and call it your Polly PINK RIDE!

Lisa Dorsey said...

So very, very glad to add a smile to your day. Love the name Rollio. :) I think flames and spinners would be HOT. :) (no pun intended, of course!) ha

Mary Jo said...

If you're a Grey's fan you might want to consider...McWheely. lol

Regan said...

Ah Nancy you crack me up- I really admire your positive additude-

what to do with that chair huh????? You could go the cheezy route and Be-dazzle it- bwah haha

Anonymous said...

I missed the Webster's Pages thing last night but I need to go check out new papers! SOOOOO love the BG line.

Unknown said...

You could take any fabric you want and make a slipcover for the back and a cushion for the seat. The cushion would be easy, just a padded square, and the back would be two rectangles/squares with ties. Throw it over the top and tie at the sides! You can change out the covers with the times of year, or holidays! You could also braid cool fibers, fabric strips, flowers, and beads into the spokes/wheels like when we were kids with our bikes!

(MagicAttic from SJ)

Unknown said...

Nancy I can make you a slip over back of your seat cover if I have the dimensions!

Nancywithajones said...

FABULOUS IDEAS!!! I will get some dimensions and send you some coolio fabric. maybe John will take me to this cool fabric store we have here and let me shop hehehhehee this could be fun!!!

Nancywithajones said...

I am loving these names and things yall are coming up with too I have been crackin up laughing every time i read these.

Anonymous said...

Nancy, since you luv you some orange, why dont you use the flames mostly in orange...then get you some bling that will stick to the spokes of the wheels along with some battery operated string lights that blink to put on it, for halloween , then for Christmas , just change your color schemes, take off the flames and put Christmas trees with orange ornaments on it...just a thought.....As for the name , how about your Scrapping Boogey Board.... or if it was mine, I would hang different color of bras on it....lol... retirednrse from AMR...

Little Ol' Liz said...

Ok, say this out loud:
"Helen Wheels."
Get it? H3ll On Wheels?

If it were mine, I'd so have a bike horn or a bell on it. Move it people! Comin' through!

Because an air horn would be so ostentatious! Hope this makes you smile :)

Nancywithajones said...

yall are sooo crackin me up. This is hysterical! I can just see me with bra's hangin off the handles rofl. and yes "hel3n wheels" so meeee! ROFLMBO totally crackin me up guys thanks!

MilliD said...

How about framing the back of it with grommets and running ribbon (or a boa) through them (changing the color to suit your mood, of course) THEN in the middle of the "frame" have the letters "S.O.B." spelled out in a scripty font made out of bling! The "S.O.B." stands for "Scrapbooker on Board" (or the other, again depending on your mood)! LOL

muirwoodsue said...

Wow - beautiful kit.

I would do some bling on the chair, maybe add some Amy Butler fabric to make a seat/back cushion.
Something seasonal would be fun too. Or some cool Harley type designs - flames and skulls!

I am so proud of your terrific attitude regarding your mobility assistant! It must be a very difficult thing to have, but you are an inspiration!
Sue

Well, you need to go to a bike store and get some of those handle bar covers with streamers on them - let's say in hot pink! And a matching hot pink cushion on the seat. If you can't get spinners, maybe a couple big pink silk flowers on the hubs! And if worse comes to worse, put playing cards in the spokes so they know you're coming! God bless you - you're in my thoughts and prayers.

While I really have no name ideas for you, I just wanted to tell you how much I truly admire your work. Everything you do is just amazing. Thanks so much for sharing all of your creations.

Love your attitude my friend about the chair. Hey, name it Freedom. I have one and I also have a cane that has a seat on it. I use it, when the weakness is so bad in my legs, I am not taking a fall like I did last year and ended up breaking my foot, because I didn't want to take the damn chair! See what I got. Joe is a little dangerous with it, he thinks he is a speed demon when he is pushing me so I have to keep screaming, SLOW DOWN! Love the new lines and love the inspiration and chuckles you give me! You are such a busy bee! I hope the weather stays cool for you and you get to go with Bella. Love ya friend and be well!

mommy2alex said...

That Webster line is so beautiful, I cannot stand it, I want it all!
I like Rollio too, but it needs some pink, bling and maybe a feather boa!!!

CraftyRia said...

I like the name "Spinwheels" for the wheel chair. I love pinwheels and think that would be a good name. You could add a couple of pinwheels off of the back handles.

Anonymous said...

Nancy, no matter what you do, you have to put bling on the wheels, definitely. Gotta' have rims, right? ;o) I love Rolio!!

Unknown said...

Hi Nancy. Maybe stick a pink boa around the top edge... that would be kinda cute. You could use velcro and change it out when you didn't feel like pink, maybe lime green, or get crazy and twist 2 colors together, like black and orange for Halloween! Have fun decorating your chair!!

Hello, my fellow MS survivor! I never got back to you on my meds....my MS is actually in remission, except for an occasional relapse...which usually happens if I get overtired or stressed, my husband will tell me, 'you face is sagging,' which it does, ever since one side was paralyzed for a short while years ago. I am being treated for the Polyneuropathy portion of my disease(s), I go to the hospital every 3 weeks for an IV infusion of immune globulin (IVIG), which my neurologist believes has been treating both diseases. I've been doing this for 15 yrs., before that I was on one of the first MS shot treatment, which was beta seron, lots of prednisone, solymedural, you know the drill...then they figured out I needed to be treated for the Polyneuropathy. I went all over the US and to several specialists, it took about 8 yrs. to figure out they were dealing with 2 diseases. I've been good since being on the IVIG. I have been in your place, I always have a huge garden, when my kids were little, I'd go out and garden when they were at school, they'd find me down in between the rows. Love to hear that you are warding off the electric w.chair as long as possible, hopefully you won't need it. When I was first diagnosed (21years ago, they told me I'd be in a wheelchair in 6 mos.,and I'm still not)....so give it all you've got, sounds like you're doing just that!
In the meantime...love the idea of 'rollio'...and jazzing it up with some bling and removeable things, so you can update it or make it seasonal :)
Sorry if I added TMI, just wanted to get back to you on what I've been doing as far as meds.
Best of luck to you, I'll be popping back in to check in on you for sure!

Since it's low, you could be "Low Rider"...or perhaps "Slow Rider". Trick it out to the max. Bling...flames...a horn...add some fuzzy dice.

Get some of the spray paint that's for the metal or aluminum. Stencil the back of the chair to add color. Just a few ideas. I think you can get colored spokes. OH OH OH!! Get the things they used to put on the bike spokes- you know the colorful bead type things that would slide up and down as you 'moved'!!

Oh, I so wish you were on Tysabri. The statistical data on all the others including Avonex are so bad and Tysabri has amazing data. I have a friend in Salt Lake who has been wheelchair bound and unable to speak for three years. After 4 Tysabri treatments she is walking without a can and can speak again.
I hate seeing that wheelchair.
Love you and God bless,
Shaun

thanks so much for visiting my blog Nancy. I know all about the mixed emotions that come when you need some wheels and I really admire your wonderfully upbeat and positive attitude. I was on Rebif a few years ago and used to find it helpful to take it just before I went to bed so that I slept through most of the symptoms... don't know if thats any help to you! Keep smiling:)

Hi Nancy!
I love the name Rollio - I think that's a great idea. Have you asked Bella for her ideas for decorating the chair? I think that would be a lovely project for you both to work on together. As long as you're happy with pink!
ATB, and I hope you don't have to use it much. x

OK Nancy, I will play along too... A name for your new wheels... let's see - I was thinking, either Nancy NewWheel's; Rolls Royce... or maybe you should just stick with some of the other suggestions - I really suck at this ;)

Hi Nancy,
I know how it is to have a chronic illness, I have an immune disorder too and am also an avid scrapbooker. I used to be in a wheelchair too, but have been doing a little better and not using one at the moment. ;) I'd say get some bling, maybe make cool designs. Paper and stuff that could come off (like paper or primas) may be tough unless you put some kind of coating over them, otherwise bad weather, it'll get all yucky. I'd go with bling or something that can handle rain or bad weather, and do cool designs with that. (a huge smiley face - makes other people smile and starts conversations).
