New One Little Word layout and more

I did an additional page for my One Little Word. I'm not taking Ali Edwards class on One little word Im taking a Faith approach to doing mine. Im following my own props and some of my friends. My word of the year is ACCEPTANCE. This is a year of change. So I made that my word. So much I have to accept. I have a hard time with that and it is time I learn to deal with it. The other day a book mark from when I was around 10 years old fell to the side out of my bible. It had a quote that my Grandmama used to say and said to me often. She was trying to teach me to have faith and to pray about all I needed to God. She couldn't get it across to me so finally one day she just bluntly (as she ever so often did) said " Well, have you prayed about it as much as you're whining and carrying on about it?" and it finally made me understand I needed to pray more about it and not complain. God was obviously the only one that wanted to hear my distress. So I started praying about my wrongs and complaints to him. she noticed I wasn't complaining anymore and asked me about it. I told her I was telling God. She said GOOD! Thats what youre supposed to do. But you can tell me if its something I need to know. Which now I wondered what she needed to know. Grandmama died not long after that when I was 11 years old. This is one of my fond memories of her teaching me about prayer. We said our prayers before every meal and at night before bed every time I spent the night. she let me read aloud from the bible and she read one of her devotions in Open Windows. Here is my page for my One Little word.

I know my page letters are a little off kinda crooked. My hands are shaky from my tremors, it really is starting to show more in my scrapbooking, but Im still trying. I did another page this one I did today for my friend Jeanne. SHe has gone through so much last year and this year with her health and the death of her mother. I thought I would show her some love and do a page about her. she is such a dear friend of mine.

This picture was taken at DIsneyworld. We finally got to meet. we have tried to meet several times and something has happened each time where we couldnt. I was so happy to finally get to hug her. Next is a challenge page from Scrapbooking the day away page a day challenge this one was one of the first challenges. I looked hard for this paper. It was in my stash of patterned paper. I looked hard for it finally found it. I know it is tie dye but we are pretending it is rainbow, The picture doesnt pick up how fabulous it is. It is glittery and shiny and spectacular. It was perfect for a Disney world fireworks picture.

The last one is from Scrapbooking the Day away daily page challenge 123 challenge. 1 picture, 2 embellishments, 3 colors of paper. Well I sorta did the challenge. I kinda went crazy with it. I actually did more than 2 embellishments. and my colors are patterened paper so its kinda more colors. so I didnt follow directions well. so whats new. BUt, it was a good starting point for me. I enjoyed making this page and I did some good journaling for Bella.

I've been scrapbooking a lot with the daily challenges at Scrapbooking the Day away. I do most of them. I've enjoyed them. Im also loving listening to the scrapgals podcasts with Tracie and Tiffany. They changed their podcasts to a new format over to Podfan. It is so much better! Ive been listening to old podcasts through the week when their isnt a new one. Ive been laughing and enjoying hearing their ideas and the interviews with other scrapbookers. If you wanna join the podcasts its at THESCRAPGALS you get a bunch of bonus features along with the podcasts that are super informative and funny! Ive been listening for a while now I didn't like their old format and it was hard for me to listen to . it would cut me off in the middle of it and jump to the end when I started it back. so I just stopped listening.BUT, this new format is awesome and I have had no problems and it brings up the old ones easily. I love it!

Scrapbook pages!! My one little word page!

Hey Ya'll! Ive been scrappin' the last couple of nights and all day today. I got finished with most of the challenges at "Scrapbooking The Day Away" This morning I had an appointment with Tiffany from Scrapgals (she does the podcasts)to help me get my old podbean podcast deleted and unsubscribed and my phone changed over to the new (gosh I cant think of the name of it) anyway get switched over to the new one. Im so clue less. Well I made a 10:30 appt. with her.Thank the lord there was no body behind me. We couldnt find the diddly squat email from them. of course when we hung up it showed up in my promotions box. She got it working for me (Im sure I was making it harder than it should have been) and we cheered together over HER victory I say her because I didn't do a thing but what she said do. After she got it all fixed, I listened to the last few I had not listened to. I was laughing and having a good ol time scrapping. I did several pages ok i finished several pages today and made a few new ones. I put titles on all of them but one. I have a hard time with titles. I wanna show you I told you in the last message on here I was gonna do my ONE LITTLE WORD layout. Well I did it today. I think it came out pretty good. I used fall colors on it because those are my favorite and numbers paper because My daughter is counting down (UGH!) the days till she goes to college. IM trying to make her forget. oh well. THat leads to my page:

The title as you can see is Acceptance. (I didnt have 3 capital C's but I thought that was kinda appropriate to have a little c in there because Im beginning this journey of acceptance and I am not there yet) The Journaling reads: I have chosen ACCCEPTANCE as my "One little word" for 2021. This is a year of change and to be honest, I dont like it. I've never done well with change but I eventually come around. Bella is all grown up into a nice young lady. I on the other hand still see her as my baby. She will be going off to college in the fall and I'm trying to accept it.I'm doing much better than I was. Bless her heart, she is gonna have to deal with me calling her every night and pestering her for pictures. I told John we could get an RV and just go up there with her. He said NO! to that. I still think it could work!! Here is another page. This one is for Bella's Senior Year album. This is her Kindergardener buddy. I think I have explained this before but here is the quick version. The seniors get to have a kindergardener to be "buddies" with for the year. They buy them little gifts at holidays and play with them etc all year. Take lots of pictures. So Ill have several layouts of Bella and Rosie. OH this year they had a lot of seniors so there's 2 seniors to 1 buddy.

The journaling says:Bella's buddy Rosie at Christmas opening her presents. They had a good time seeing each other for Christmas and Bella enjoyed giving Rosie her gift. Bella played with her and got lots of laughs from her. She wanted to play with her present. IT was a really good day. 2020

My One Little Word for 2021

Im sure yall have heard of ONE LITTLE WORD by ALI EDWARDS Ive been doing it for many years. I've picked out my word for 2021. It took a lot of thought. It really describes what we will be going through this year. we will be going through a lot of change and I don't do change well. Im trying. so my word for 2021 is ACCEPTANCE. ac·cept·ance /əkˈseptəns/ Learn to pronounce; noun; @@@@@@@@@@ We have so much that we are learning to accept this year. My big one (and it's been hard for me) don't laugh seriously it's been very hard for me. Is that our only child is leaving the nest soon and going away to college. I have cried and cried and prayed and prayed. Bella did really good in school and got 4 different scholarships to 4 different colleges. She chose Montevella in central to North Alabama. I was hoping she would choose University of Mobile (she got a scholarship there that was a little better) but they don't have the program she is wanting to study. Im starting to get used to the idea. Im ACCEPTING it. So maybe by the time it gets here I won't be so bad. yeah I know Ill be a big crybaby thats my baby thats leaving. I have strict instructions that she has to text me or face time me every day because Charley and Lala (our dogs) are really gonna miss her. well, us too. so I need to get busy making a scrapbook page on my word. I keep forgetting so that is why I did a post on it. So I would remember to do it. I'll link back to this post when I get my layout made. I went to Jen's room last night online.shes with the site "Bash Your Stash" I made 3 pages but I have to put the titles on them. They were Christmas pages from this past year. or this just current christmas rather. I have a lot of pictures to scrap. plus Im making a lot of cards. I hope you have a grea. t day today. I have been at a virtual (online) Crop (scrap book get together) today. all day. I made a bunch of pages. They are kinda simple pages but I did embellish some of them up a little. I followed along though with the challenges and tried to keep up until I got tired.

You can barely see lala in these pictures but trust me she laid under that Christmas tree from the time we put it up until present (we haven't taken it down yet)

Had to do a page on my precious little boy too!

Rosie is Bella's little buddy. The seniors get a kindergarden student to be their buddy for the year. THey do stuff with them. They had double the number of seniors than buddys seniors were 2 to a buddy.

This was for a sketch challenge. I told how we had to undecorate the tree and take the lights all off then John had to put the new lights all back on. Then while we were sleeping, he decorated the tree. so it was all lit and beautiful when we got up! wasn't that sweet!

There was a glare on the photo so i dunno what all that is on the left. But, this is a page to Bella about her senior year.

This page is about how this lady backed into the side of the car while Bella was parked at her friends house. ugh!

Again with the glare! I dunno what that is. anyway. This is a layout on the Christmas star. we didnt get a good view of it here but I got some good photos off the internet to scrapbook. you cant see the first photo because its a glare but its just a tiny picture of the star. Well these are the layouts I got done at the crop. I Had fun. They did a couple more than I did but I got my bingo card filled so I was happy. I am now tired. Im used to doing maybe 3 pages in a days time. but I also had kits with my paper and photos picked out ahead of time so that helped.

Distress Oxide water resist.

I made another card. It didn't exactly turn out the way I wanted it to. I think I used too much water on this stamp! I ordered this stamp without looking at the measurements and I was shocked when it came in and was so little. Lesson learned ALWAYS CHECK THE DETAILS WHEN YOUR BUYING SOMETHING. I knew it was too good of a deal. oh well. Also I didn't use my "wrmk version of the misti" I can't remember what they call it. So anyway my resist didn't turn out EXACTLY like I wanted it. But it ended up working with the card, FIRST I colored my card with " Salty ocean".At the top and "Broken China" at the bottom of the piece of watercolor cardstock. I just wiped the inks across the cardstock till it filled in. Then blended the two with the mini blender tool. ( This way I didn't have to switch out the pads on the blender tool. I am waiting for some to come in) I also wiped over it with a clean DRY cloth (no fuzzies) to get the access color off.

Next I got my stamp ready to stamp the ink.

I would be using the resist method (its not hard you simply spray the stamp with a LITTLE water and stamp it. DOnt use too much water as I think I did it will smear your image) looking back I should have used my WRMK tool thats like the MISTI I probably would have had a better stamped image. I will try again and use that.

See how the image is smeared. I think that is from the water running and not using the tool. But I'm gonna try to make it work any way. (it was supposed to be flowers.) I had a scrap piece of paper that was perfect to go down the middle. MY mom is in lockdown at her assisted living facility (yes someone got covid) and is struggling. So I like to send her encouragement. So I intend to send her this card so I used these encouraging stickers I had in my stash.

I also Inked a cardstock butterfly that my friend Anne Lambert sent me in a Swap.

I added some Jewels from BO BUNNY to my butterfly right down the middle 3 tiny ones. TO help it look even more pretty.

ANd Thats the finished card. Its ready to mail. OH BY the way I dried the inks between times with my heat gun. I also dried the glue with my heat gun.To speed things along. Im enjoying these distress Oxides and IM learning more and more techniques. Im gonna try this one again with my Wrmk tool and less water. I see Jennifer McGuire do it so perfect haha she makes everything look so easy. Have fun creating!!

Playing with Distress Oxides

I saw this neat trick the other day but I have some questions about it. If Anyone can help. Here is what I saw first

INK and VELCRO HMMMMmmmmm Turn ink over ok sounds easy enough'

You put the velcro on the back. USE THE ROUGH FEELING ONES not the soft ones. Take the blender pad from the blender (mini) tool that you have already used with a distress oxide (one per color)

BE SURE To USE THE OXIDE COLOR THAT IS THE SAME COLOR as the pad color you have. ok EXAMPLE: if you just used mowed lawn with the mini blender tool with the pad, get the mowed lawn Distress oxide and turn it over and put a piece of velcro on it the rough side one not the soft fuzzy side.

This is what it should look like. TA DA!! SO, My question is: How do you get them to stack after you do this? or are you not supposed to stack them anymore after you do this?

Here are a couple tags I made. I used the water method with these tags and then decorated them. Which was fun but, I like other techniques better. this feels so sloppy but it is really fun. You can't really control where the ink rolls and streams too and goes. I guess thats the fun part. First you press your ink pad down on your mat (I use the ranger 15x19 waterproof mat) I got for Christmas. You pat them down all very close by each other, as many colors as you wanna use. I usually use 3 to 4 different distress inks. Pat them good up in the corner of you a waterproof mat (I call it a splat mat because nothing sticks to it. I have the Ranger inks one but any one will do. pat your inks a couple few times and do them close together. Then you take a small spray bottle and spray over your inks in a fine mist a couple of times till they kinda bead up ink water. (but you don't want to saturate them just a little water is all it needs) Then you take your tag or card or whatever you are working on, and do it top side down (the part you wanna see and work with side down)then wipe it all the way across the inks. swirl it, zig zag it, do it back and forth. how ever you think it is fun. It will give you a great design of color. Experiment with different color combos. I decorated them with stickers I got from Hobby lobby they were their brand paper studio really cute. I cut the photo down to fit that tag on the right I just thought it would be cute. I added the buttons from my large stash of buttons. The hearts are washi tape. I have another card to show you. Part of it is done in Oxides.

The strip across the center held by brads is colored by distress oxides in concord grape and seedless preserves. The big butterfly is done in seedless preserves and cracked pistachio the little butterflies are done in seedless preserves and concord grape. I added all the rest for decoration. The paper is by Carta Bella. Thank you for looking at my distress inks creations. There will be more as I play with the tags and cards. Ill show you what I learn. I am having a large time learning and playing with them.

Christmas eve with the Jones Family

IM loading all our pictures from Christma eve. I will explain what is going on also. We had our annual Candle light service at Dayspring Baptist Church ONLY this year, due to covid (UGH I hate talking about covid.) but, due to covid, we watched it online , which was a blessing. I took screen shots so I would have photos to scrapbook. They came out pretty good. It started off with this family (I didnt write their names down)that got baptized It was awesome to experience on Christmas eve!

Pastor Chase Alford came and brought us the message of baby Jesus and why he was sent to earth. It was so good. God's love for us! There was a lot of music Christmas carols we sang.

It was a beautiful touching service. Even watching it from home. It would be better being there in person, but Im glad we got to experience it, even online. I thank you Dayspring for doing that for those of us that couldn't get out and come to it. We really enjoyed it. I was so sad thinking we might miss this tradition in our family. We closed out with the lighting of the candles and singing "Silent NIght" so beautiful!!!

After we got through watching church online and having supper, We decided to open our one gift we always open on Christmas eve. It was a little bit different this year.

This year instead of giving her 2 pair of pjs and wrapping them separately, I just wrapped them together to be opened on Christmas eve. It was really a box thing. I didn't have many shirt boxes. So it was convenient

It's hard buying pjs for John. He really just likes long shorts (the hanes soft shorts that come down long THAT YOU CANT FIND ANYMORE) He and Bella both think its lame for us all to be matchy matchy anymore. so I just get us whatever I think we will like. John likes plaid. buffalo plaid was closest I could find.(big and tall section) they didnt really have much in his size. He doesn't like busy prints or bright colors but will wear red (he looks good in red too I must add)

So I got him the red and black buffalo plaid sleep pants and a salt life kinda red It wasnt bright red or bright black it was more distressed red and distressed black it has the two swords and the skelton head on the back of it and the right breast side of the front. He has that shirt in a different color and has worn it almost out he loves it so much. so when I saw it in a different color (I was actually looking for black) and in his size!! I jumped on it and did I mention he looks good in red?

He only got one pair of Pjs because he only wears pj pants when its cold down here which is not that often. He has about 4 pair and he hardly wears them. He wears them Christmas for pictures and for me. So I am not gonna buy him a lot of them. ME! I live in pjs. I got 2 pair like Bella. Can I just tell you I LOVE FLAMINGOS! I have a couple of t shirts. I have a couple of blankets that have flamingos on them and soap dish and a few things around a soap dispenser etc that friends have gotten me. So when I see something flamingo I grab it (Unless it is ridiculously priced) I got a Blanket that is fuzzy and soft with flamingos riding bicycles for Christmas. I have it on my bed now. WELL I found pjs that were flamingos! I had to have them! flamingo and tiger print or animal print I love especially for pjs. I got both!

HOW CUTE IS THIS!!! The pants are medium blue and have little flamingos all over them with their necks around each other and hearts above their heads. ADORABLE. IM just so happy with my flamingo pjs. I like the style especially the pants because most are too long. these have a band that comes smaller around my ankle and it has pockets!! Dont you just love anything that has pockets?? The other pair of pjs that are tiger print (they have a tank top and a long sleeve top that is kinda tight and I cant sleep in that but the pants fit fine) but the pants have pockets on them too! I mosey around the house in pj pants and t shirts most days and my house shoes. so I wear a lot of pjs. perfect gift I did good. After we got through opening the presents we decided we would go out and look at CHristmas lights. I have one picture because my husband wouldn't slow down long enough for me to get a photo of the lights so their all blurry messes of photos. but one you can see kinda better. This is it. Its in the subdivision The colonades. This family used to REALLY decorate all the way around their house with wooden and different types of decorations from DIsney to Jesus scenes it was unreal but beautiful. This year they did some but nothing like before. Let me see if yall can figure out this picture,

I know its kinda blurry but speed demon was not driving at christmas light enjoyment speed. Especially not for photo taking. so its blurry but it is the best picture I got. the others look like a blurry mess of light streams. you cant even tell what they are of. Well I hope you have enjoyed Christmas eve with us. We came back home and watched Christmas movies in our New Pajamas. Then encouraged Bella to go to sleep because Santa Claus was coming. We had all our stockings out ready (even Charleys and Lala's) It was a wonderful day and I was very tired. I had a memorable enjoyed day though. I hope to remember it always.

playing with new Distress Oxides

Hey Yall, Sorry I haven't posted. I had not created much lately. I have been under the weather alot latly. I had bronchitis and a bad sinus infection. NO! It wasn't covid thank you GOD!! I see a pulmonologist for my asthma and I catch everything but praise God I have not caught that. I got some Oxide inks (Tim Holtz Distress Oxides) for our anniversary. I got them on black friday.(great deal on them THanks Janelle) Our anniversary was on blackfriday and I told John thats what I wanted. There are several things though you need with them that I didnt have but I made do. (to do the card I wanted to do) I had been watching Jennifer McGuire videos regarding the distress Oxides and I couldnt wait to play with them. when they got here I discovered I had no idea where my embossing ink was. but it was probably dried up anyway. I had not used it in yearrrrs. Im talking like 5 or more. I got on Amazon and it was expensive on there. I got on scrapbook.com and it was more sensibly priced AND my crystal stickles and Gold stickles had come in so I ordered a couple of those and some embossing ink. I figured 2 days (the usual time) they would be here. 2 weeeks laterrrr I finally got them.. gosh thee postal service is in a mess. John took them and said ". great stocking stuffers" so I have to wait a couple days to play. II also ordered a flowery back ground stamp it doesnt even give a time it is to be delivered but shows it has been purchased and its coming. It feels like forever before I get to make this card by Jennifer McGuire the way she did it. I made it the Nancy way and made a few improvisions though. I used Dried Marigold Distress oxide ink

and abandoned coral distressed oxide ink

also a blender mini tool and 2 of the sponge tips (one tip per color)

***** money saving tip for you.. The sponge circular tips that you use on the mini blender tool instead of buying more and more for each color. What most crafters are doing is once they use one for a certain color, they velcro underneath the bottom of the ink and velcro just the blender top that has the removable pad that has the color distress ink on it underneath the distress ink, so next time they need to use it they just peel the piece off and put it on their blender tool and they can use the same colored one again instead of throwing them away and having to buy more with each use. Its not JUST LIKE Jennifer McGuires. I used an embossing folder and didnt heat emboss on mine. (I didnt have the stuff for that step but its coming!!!)I cant wait to try that. Yall will try with me? I hope so. Im so new to this oxide ink this is my first thing I have made with it. BUt I did it like regular inks till after Christmas when i get all my accessories and stuff!

So I used watercolor paper (it is in a paper pad I got it fro -Hobby Lobby The size paper is 8 x 6 i think? its bigger than a card. It has about 25 in a pad and works just as well as the expensive brands of watercolor paper this one i have no idea what the name of it is has some one painting on the front of it all in a light purple) -so I cutthe paper down to about 5 x7 to run my paper through my big shot with this flower and vine print embossing folder, I ran it through twice so you could really see it on this thick paper. -next Imked up my mini ink blender tool with a new sponge thingy on the end, and i inked it up with Dried Marigold. I went over the bottom of my paper over that embossed image getting it kinda heavy on there. I inked it several times getting it covered good. -next I inked up a different sponge head with abandoned coral and started out in the middle with a heavy hand and worked outward. I then got the edge where the dried Marigold meets I sponged over it and all the edges just on the edge of it. Ill come back with more dried Marigold in the end so i wanna make sure I have all the white filled in and the Abandoned Coral represented well. I cover the middle of the page and the embossed image comes out. -I comme back to the top of the paper with Dried Marigold again starting with a heavy hand in the center covering up all the white. Then blending over the edges well especially where the abandoned Coral is. I want to blend it NOT cover it up so IM not using a heavy amount of ink. Im using a little ink in round circular motions and inking my blending tool often so I can see where I need to add more. You can always add more but you can't take it off once it is on there! so blend with a light hand. after I get my blending done. I measure the length of my card then I cut my inked paper across (so I may have some left over to use in the future for crafting) to the length of the paper (at the bottom or top) then i cut down one side leaving the other side id say about 1 3/4 inches to 2 1/2 inches however wide you like your strip to be mine was right about 3 inches. Then make a small little cut up at the bottom and cut a half diagonal ending in your first cut (to make a sideways triangle) and do the same on the bottom of the other side. so you have a banner. I inked my edges lightly with a darker brown (not the darkest brown but a medium brown done lightly) ink can be distress ink doesnt have to be an oxide. I used my crop a dile tool to cut on the largest hole punch (one side is smaller the other side is larger. 2 holes a thumb print apart so I could put my ribbon bow on there. The ribbon was left from a swap I had the lady tied my gift up with it and had a tag with it. I just loved this ribbon had to keep it.

-Next I added bling in red, onto the banner in varios places. THEN I added these metal words I have had foreverrr.. I glued it all down with Bearly art Glue (my favorite for no wrinkles and I love the tips) and you can get it from everywhere EVEN WAL MART and IT IS GREAT GLUE!!!!(put pin back in it immediately dont let it sit open it dries up fast. just a tip)

Some New layouts

Hey Ya'll! SOrry I haven't updated sooner but I have had a nasty upper respiratory infection and have been on some super strong antibiotics. They have made me so nauseas and I haven't felt like doing much. Yesterday and today I have finally felt like scrapbooking and doing some things around the house.but in addition to the sinus infection, I took a fallthis past Saturday night. I was in the tub And just before we had eaten Tsjuan (i probably spelled that wrong) John and Bella got sushi and I got hibachi. Well when I got mine somekinda liquid was all over the lid. I did fine ( Im horribly allergic to seafood and mushrooms and they had gotten both) well I went to take a bath immediately after I ate. while I was sitting in the tub my throat got kinda itchy and phlemy. I figured it was nothing but was gonna take some benadryl just to be on the safe side. so I called to John to bring me some benadryl. Nothing. I called even louder. nothing so I tried to get up.. well my water was pretty warm and I got my feet under me and my legs went numb and I fell backwards in the tub. I landed on my right side. hitting my hip first and my ankle behind me and my head (the hardest part of me) and my wrist was curled. there was just a little water in the tub thank God. I layed there for a second thinking he had heard me fall cause all the shampoo bottles fell and made a unearthly racket and my big butt falling in that tub made plenty of noise. but no.. nothing. I thought well good lord Im glad Im not unconscious. so I yelled his name again. NOTHING!! so finally I got seated upright AND I SCREAMED WITH ALL THAT WAS IN ME tears and everything JOOOHNN HELLLP MEEE! he said JUST A MINUTE! he came back ther what is wrong. I said Ive been calling you I need some benadryl and I fell. He said omgosh good lord are you ok.and he checked me out. nothing was broke he said I would have some pretty bruises there were alread red places. I was just a crying. I was overwhelmed. I had not even taken my bath yet. He fussed because hot water is a no no for MS patients I told him I run cold water before I get out but I was trying to get out to get me some benadryl. He understood annd said " Its alright now" Its over. you are going to be ok. he ran me somme luke warm water and I took my bath and washed my hair carefully. He was in there every 10 minutes checking on me. Making sure I was breathing ok and havent passed out due to the benadryl. I did fine. I ran cold water and got out of the tub fine. it was just the warm water had numbed my legs that made me fall. I know better. He gave me a lecture about warm water and not having my phone back there to get his attention (it was charging the battery was almost dead ) he hugged me and said " Im glad you are ok, Don't scare me like that" I told him I was a little afraid myself haha. so that was the excitement at out house. Here is my public service announcement. ESPECIALLY with winter coming and cooler weather. If you have multiple sclerosis be aware just how warm your bath water or shower water is. it can get too warm quickly and you loose the feeling in your legs and fall.. I know it happened to me. ok so on to some scrappiness. These arent real fancy pages. I was kinda in a lul and trying to find my MOJO. I hope you enjoy looking at these. again theyre not to fancy. The first one is the last of her Senior casual photos. I have loved scrapping these pictures. She did so good taking these pictures and I could hardly pick a favorite. Even the ones that were not my favorites turned out to be great layouts.

I left room on this one to put her name. I know her name but not exactly how they spell it. her name is Rosey but it could be spelled IE or EY or Y see what I mean, so when Bella gets home I will put it on there and update it. she is the cutest little thing. All the seniors get a kindergarten buddy.

Again sorry for the glare. I love this page. It shows some of her best smiles. I wanted so many 5x7s of these pictures to frame but I know I cant do them all. and guess what? Her professional senior portraits came in yesterday! OH My GOSH They are so beautiful. I really want a great big one to go over my fire place of her drape picture its so good. BUt they want a ridiculous amount of money for it and that doesnt include the frame! it is extra! I dont have that kinda money. so we got the usual 8x10 we got a small package with hopefully enough wallet for family and it was 165 dollars. I was shocked. pictures are expensive. i was wishing my awesome photographer neighbor had not left the photography business!!! Ivee learned though because of my wedding not to scrimp on pictures (our wedding pictures were horrible) the ones my sister in love took were better and that was just a few. but Im happy to have those. Well Im going to be scrapping today. Today is My mother in loves birthday. I miss her so much. she meant so much to me. i miss her.I know John and especially Bella miss her. so Im trying not to be sad because I know she is in Heaven better off than all of us. Im praying for JOhn and Liz and zach and greyson and Bella (her grand babies ) today that it is a little easier knowing she is in heaven singing with the angels and rocking the babies. I know I will see her again. A hurricane and some new layouts

I have made some new pages this week. I have another I just need to put a title on. I hope to do that today so I will post that tomorrow. I've been really tired and achey with this cold weather after Hurricane Zeta. We were fortunate though, our power flickered a lot and surged, but it never went out.(unless it went off and on while I was sleeping) but our internet and tv went out. I used Data to get online and check on my cousin Angela, she is in Louisiana and I worry about her, because she is alone. So far so good. I scrapped most of the night of the hurricane before the power started surging. I was scared my lights were gonna burst, so I came in here with John. I unplugged my cricut and the laptop and my phone (it was charged up anyway, I didnt need it plugged in) The next day I was scrapping and I went to use my cricut. I got on the laptop to cut my title and I sat there clicking on the mouse and finally rembembered oh yah! Ding Dong! Internet is out. It finally came back on but I still havent cut my title. oh well, maybe I will today.

This is the right side. The Journaling says: This is what I call a “necessary” layout. It’s time with her daddy doing things that I just happened to get a picture of. And I just felt it necessary to scrap. It’s 2 pages..sorry for the glare. One day l will find a place that doesn’t do that. It says “making posters for Homecoming with Dad” The Journaling reads: 1st page: Bella was on the Homecoming committee to decorAte for Homecoming that included making the hallway poster's. She painted this one in the garage and then when it got night time so she painted it on the dining room table. She drew and colored all these little kids or shall I say “Teenagers” and she cut the heads out. The faces of her classmates out of pictures. She started gluing them onto the bodies of the “Teenager cartoons” She then suckered. I mean talked her daddy into doing the rest of them. Page 2 journaling: Yes, he fussed about it as he always does but he did a good job and it was something for his daughter. So you know he would do it. I can’t remember the exact number of them all , but I believe it was around 60. They looked so cute on the poster. She did a great job on this. Her daddy did too. Their teamwork was great. This was the senior poster for 2020 (Seniors of 2021). Homecoming went off well. They did it different this year without a dance. The school rented out the movie theater and showed “Jurassic Park” At least they got to do something for Homecoming instead of it being cancelled. I think they had a good time for this being their last Homecoming. Here is another Homecoming page:

I liked the purple it matched her dress and really made it stand out. She loved her dress. Got a fantastic deal on it. I am so proud of my girl.

Here is the last one for today. Laughter. The font is Bittermilk for the title. (I had a lot of people asking me) I fussy cut all of those flowers out of a piece of Karen Foster paper. Then put little bling on the inside of them. I love this picture of her. I have it in black and white also. Its not a big photo though I don't think. I think its just a 4x6. I am loving scrapping all these casual senior photos. so much fun. such good pictures. I have more pictures of her Senior activities to scrap! So I will be online later scrapping away. I opted for another cup of coffee this morning just because I was cold. online church was good this morning at Dayspring. He talked about Divorce. It wasnt the fire and brimstone I was expecting but he told the truth according to the word. He spoke a little on forgiveness. I have a link to Dayspring over on the side there. Last night I got so frustrated. I couldn't find a black fine tip pen and I knew I had some. Finally I asked Bella and she produced 2 of them. I should have figured haha. Any way this morning I used one of them to darken in the back ground behind my title on the "I Hope You Dance" layout. It looks so much better I think. You can see the title now.

I hope you enjoy it. I made another layout this morning, but the glue is still wet and visible. SO I will wait till tonight to photo it. I have chat and scrap online with Bash your stash. I hope to get a couple of layouts made. I will post them tomorrow if I get any done. check back tonight or tomorrow for more. OH we have that pesky tropical storm coming. Hopefully I will have internet and power. The generator man hasn't come to look at out generator yet. Im hoping it isnt a serious problem that is going to be expensive. oh well. New Layouts

Hey there! I joined an online crop this weekend. I may go today for a bit. Im tired. BUT, I have some more pages I want to do. I find when I am tired though I don't do as good of a job on them and they turn out messy. so we shall see. John was up early this morning and finished smoking a pork butt for us and for some dear friends of ours and cooked some corn on the cob and baked beans and cole slaw to go with it. I love that smoker I am so glad he got it! Here is the first page I did:

This is one of Bella's casual Graduation pictures she had made on a rooftop in Downtown Mobile, right at the golden hour of sunset. I think they turned out so good. I asked on this group I am a member of and just love (scrapbooking the day away) for title suggestions and a lady on there suggested "Lovely" and it hit me right then that I wanted to do "Isn't she lovely" I got a lot of title Ideas for many other pages I will be making with those photos (I have a lot)I love those ladies so inspirational and always helpful. Here is another page I used one of their title suggestions for this "Isn't she lovely" page on this one, It fit so much better!

The challenge was to use circles and dots. half and half on your page. I think I used enough circles and dots. The title is kinda dark. I was outlining it to make it stand out and my pen died on me. I need to get me another one quick! Mary Ann put it on the Friends of Mobiles Fabulous Flamingos page also. (the group I scrap/crop with once a month) These pictures, I was not sure of at first and them by themselves I just was not crazy about. but when I put them together and with the dance title OH I just loved it. The pictures were perfect for this title. Im glad I printed them.

Bella got to experience Homecoming this year, but it was different. The school didn't have a dance like usual. The school rented out a movie theater and watched the latest Jurassic Park movie. Then this group of kids got together afterwards and went to cracker barrel. She said she had a great time and she took several sets of photos for me to scrapbook! sorry for the glare! It was getting dark and my kitchen has a flourescent light. I didn't use a lot of layers or patterned papers with this layout because there are a lot of people in the photos. *That is my rule of thumb. If the photo is busy use less busy papers. If the picture is just a single person and not busy I can use more vibrant, busy paper. Here is the last one:

These pictures are so fun! I had to cut them down though to get them all on there. This was dress up week spirit week of Homecoming. They had so much fun. THe challenge was to use twine, fibers or ribbon. I used ribbon at the bottom of my page. I have another couple of Homecoming layouts to make. We will see if I do them today. I may just rest.
